I had my computer worked on and now I can't get into my initial account so I created a new one. Big mistake. Lost all my friends and all my games. What can I do to get it back?

I got a message saying my computer was about to crash so I utilized my $200 fix people and when I went to Facebook I couldn't get in. So I started over. What can I do to get back my initial account?

I think you have to send a message to Facebook trying to reclaim your original account. You need to try to log onto it, and/or have it send a new password link to your original EMAIL address, the one you used to make the account. You should receive an email from them after that and use the link to update/change your password and repossess your account.

SOURCE: Can't log into face book

You can try a number of different solutions which have worked for some people:

Solution 1...
Clear your cache and delete all of your cookies in your browser.

Solution 2...
In your browser, type in the address bar http://www.facebook.com/login (which doesnt exist)
This will take you to a different login page which reads: "The page you requested was not found."
At the top of this page is a login box. Try using this login box to login to facebook.
.
Solution 3...
Download Firefox 3.5 and used that instead of Internet Explorer.
here is the link for downloading it
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html
.
Tip: If you are using the Adblock extension with Firefox, and subscribe to an ad list (basically a list of known ads online), it blocks a special site (fbcdn.net)
that Facebook uses to login.
.
Tip: Go to: http://www.facebook.com/login.php (the page you are having trouble logging in) and click on the
Adblock Stop Sign on top of Firefox, and you will see in red a url that includes
fbcdn.net. Right click on that, and add an exception for the entire fbcdn.net domain.
Reload the page. This should fix the problem.
.
Solution 4...
Use a Proxy Server to connect to Facebook.com
1. Search Proxy in GOOGLE
2. Select Proxy Server
3. Type in facebook.com (in the proxy server webpage)
4. login into facebook account
5. (although all games will work but Farmville may have problems loading)
.
recommended Proxy Server >> http://www.youtubeproxy.ws/
.
If you found this information helpful, please give me a big thumbs up when you rate my answer. Thanks.

SOURCE: I lost a facebook reset code.

Good morning to you and Facebook.
Try again with Facebook snd ask them to send you a new password since your attempts until now have failed. If they keep being stubborn and refuse to give the passord, then you can open a new account.
But tell therm how important it is thatyou get into your excisting account.
Good luck

SOURCE: i have a facebook problem where the webpage doesnt open . It says error on page.

Proposed solution: uninstall Google Chrome Frame
I discovered the pb yesterday, trying to connect to Facebook on my XP SP3 Win32 desktop that runs fine, but on which I rarely connect to Facebook, so that I don't know for how long the problem has been here (days, weeks, but no more)
I struggled in various forums to find hints others than "use Chrome or Firefox" etc...
I finally found the solution hidden in:
http://blog.crosbydrive.com/?p=310
After uninstalling Google Chrome Frame, I just had to quit IE and launch it again.
Many thanks to "Lexington Computer Repair Blog " and Sue W (who hold the solution from a Facebook forum)

Well, sometimes it costs you no penny to get back or reset your lost Windows password actually. Don't believe it? Just have a try of the following free Windows password recovery solutions if you forgot Windows password to your computer.<br /> 1. Moreover, before you can use Cain & Abel, you'll need to download a rainbow table. These large databases of passwords are required so Cain & Abel can reset the forgotten windows password.<br /> 3. Available Admin AccountIt's well known that Windows administrator users have rights to change password of other user account on the same computer. So if you forgot password of the user account, just enter your administrator account and do as follows:<br /> <ul> <li>1. 4 Common Windows Password Mistakes You Should Avoid

As the first safeguard of our computer data, a Windows password security is worthy of a user's attention. But in reality, few users are aware of the significance of a Windows password. Many users set a Windows password that can be easily hacked, like "123456" or "password", for convenience. Some users even forgot Windows password frequently without a password reset disk at hand. The following lists 4 common Windows password mistakes users easily make.

Mistake 1: Set A Weak Windows Password Like "123456"

When creating a Windows password, you should avoid the passwords like"123456", "password", "abc123", etc, which are too common and weak to be easily recognized, though it seems to difficult for you to reset Windows password . According to an analysis survey, the most popular passwords among nearly 400,000 exposed by the Gawker hack were "123456", with more than 3,000 people had it as a password. If you owned a Windows password like that, stop using them now. Meanwhile, it is better not use only letters or numbers which means great significance to you, like your birthday or names.

There are 2 key factors for a strong Windows password: length and complexity. An ideal password is regarded to be at least 8 characters long and composed of letters, punctuation, symbols, and numbers; avoid personal information, repetition, sequences, and dictionary words. But don't make it too complicated for your memory. Otherwise it happens to forget Windows password easily. A strong Windows password should be easy for you to remember but hard to hack.

Mistake 2: Always Use Same Windows Password

According to PC World, 75 percents of people had the same password for their email accounts and social networking sites. Have you also employ the password with other accounts for avoiding to lost Windows password?

Today we live in a password-drive world which make us have to remember credit card passwords, bank accounts, etc. Of course, it is an effective way to use the same password for getting out of the trouble with many different passwords. But the problem is that if it's compromised and someone finds it, the rest of your identity is at risk. So it is better not to use the same password for all your accounts, at least for your Windows accounts and other important accounts.

Mistake 3: Seldom Change Wind
ows Password

For many users, they may never remember to change Windows password unless they forgot Windows password. No matter how strong a password is, it may get hacked if the user doesn't change it all the time. Most computer experts and online security professionals recommend changing passwords and account login information at least once every three months. How long have you ever changed Windows password? Reset it frequantly and get into the habit of changing your password on regular basis.

Mistake 4: Forgot Windows password Without A Password Reset Disk

With the Windows password reset disk feature, it is no longer a big problem when you forgot Windows password. Computer experts strongly suggest that users create a password reset disk when setting a new password, which they will not lose access to your files and information. But many users in fact ignore the importance of the Windows password reset disk until they forgot or lost. If you haven't create a password reset disk, just start to create one now. You will find everything is still in order though password is gone.

This is the survey which we have collected from Security Community, more info about password management survey, go to its official site.
If you cannot afford to reinstall computer with your computer data lost after you forgot Windows password, an effective option is to use Windows password recovery tool like Windows Password Unlocker to reset your forgotten Windows password. it guarentee that no data will be lost after Windows password reset in 4 steps.

Why won't my oovoo log in :'(

Ensure that you have the correct user name and password. If you forget your username have oovoo send your the credentials using the "the forgot password". If that does not work not create a new account and just add your friends and family on the new account.

Lost administrator rights

Step 1:
Computer administrators have access to make certain changes on a computer that other users may not have. Administrators have full freedom to install and uninstall programs, move files around and make changes to the Windows registry. There are actually three ways that one may become the administrator on their computer; during the initial setup, change the settings in the Control Panel or by having the current administrator change the permissions on the account.

Set up an account during the initial setup of Windows on the computer. During the setup wizard, you will be asked to set up an administrator account. Choose the account name, user icon and password to set up the administrator account. Step 2.Change your account permissions if there isn't an administrator account currently setup. During some installations Windows users were allowed to install the program without setting up an administrator account. Click on "Start" then "Control Panel" to open the Control Panel. Click on "Users and Accounts" or "Users Accounts and Family Safety". Click on "User Accounts." Click on "Add or remove user accounts" then "create a new account". Assign the new account administrative privileges, a user name and password. Click "OK" and close all windows. Log in under the new Administrator account. Have the current administrator change your account privileges from "User" to "Administrator". She can do this by following the same steps described in Step 2. Instead of creating a new account, she must click on your current account and then apply the new permissions. If you do not currently have an account on the computer, she will need to create you one.

Restoring an Acer Extensa 5620 to factory defaults

LOL, good luck using the disks. Most times they don't work.

Why not just create a user account with the friends name then sign on using the account you just created and delete the other user accounts. It will delete all your My Documents folder (music, pictures, videos, documents).

Click Start/Control Panel/User Accounts and select the option to create a new user account. Use your friends name to create the account then restart the computer. When it boots back up, log in using the name of the newly created account. Then click Start/Control Panel/User Accounts and select a user account to delete. When prompted about saving anything for the account select the option to delete everything associated with the account.

Now if you want to remove any programs after you've deleted the accounts click Start/Programs and search the program list for folders to uninstall. If it has an uninstall option, take it.

Any program you want to delete that is not in a folder in the program list or does not have an uninstall option can be deleted by clicking Start/Control Panel then look for Add or Remove Programs, or Program Features or Uninstall Program (just depends on your operating system). Open it and let it populate the programs, then highlight the program you want to uninstall by clicking it and select Remove or Uninstall.

My account has been compromised how do I uncompromse, unable to find any help on facebook, also run out of times I can reset password

Friends of mine found out the hard way, you need to create a new fb account (using the same name - to make life easy). MAKE SURE your new password is TOTALLY different to ANY you have used elsewhere, especially on Facebook. ALSO, if you can, create a new email account, separate from your original email account that you register on Facebook with. (i.e., if you started on hotmail... try creating a gmail or yahoo account). Using characters " !"£$%^&*()" etc at the start, middle or end will also make it difficult to hack, not impossible, but much harder (seeing as you can put them anywhere in the word)...

Once you've created your new email accoutn, create a Facebook account, and then message everyone on your old Facebook account THAT YOU TRUST to add you as a friend, explaining why.

Lots of work, but hopefully that'll sort it out. Oh, and delete your old page too, of course!

No, you did not lose your original Facebook account...you just created a new one. I personally have 4 Facebook accounts, 1 is my real name and all...the others are for Facebook gaming.

To get your old account back, just log into it. If you forgot your logon info, just hit the link for "forgot password" to get a reminder sent to your email.
