If you connect the Ipad to a computer and login to your iTunes account you can reset the Ipad from there!
This sounds like a password lock, but that is an assumption. So based on my assumption, you'll need to plug the cable into the iPad, then into a laptop or tower PC. Start iTunes on the laptop or PC, once iTunes has started on the computer you have plugged the iPad into, you should see some on screen instructions, follow each step closely.
