Wife ran machine with water turned off and the power stopped, no lights at all, and will not come back on. I have tested and have power to the control panel. Is there a fuse or something that might be

I had said that the lights do not come on. Is there a fuse of any kind. I cn't imagine that there is no failsafe for a machine running with no water supply.

SOURCE: My fuse from the controller keep getting blown out.

With all due respect, there is some rather incorrect information in your response Jidza.
These washers are direct-drive and do not have any transmission, nor does the motor "spin backwards during extract". I think you are confusing a Fisher Paykel machine with conventional motor-driven washers. The "motor" is not a self-contained unit, it is really a "drive unit" consisting of a stationary stator/RPS sensor and rotor that either spins in a circular motion to drive the basket for the extract cycle, or it will "pulsate" to mimick the action of a transmission for the agitate cycle. There is no belt or gears or any of that. It's a brilliant design that eliminates many of the moving parts on the typical American washing machine.

With that said, in regards to the original post, the diverter valve, water pump and water inlet valves all are possibilities for a popped fuse in the controller, as well as a fault in the circuitry in the controller itself. Visual inspection of the pump or a simple continuity test is not enough. You need to check the specific resistance of the coil for the water pump, as it can be out of spec and cause the control to fail.
Some of the other experts do not approve when some of us suggest that obtaining a service manual would be the best cause of action but in this case it is warranted. These machines are not like "conventional" washers, they are, for the most part, electronic in nature and proper understanding of the circuits involved in the various cycles and functions makes servicing them much easier and your chances of sucess in repairing them much greater. You can obtain a detailed service manual for the GWL11 here:

Knob won't work

Easy check for water filling problem like yours. Unplug the power and see if water still flows into machine. If yes----your inlet valve on the washer is stuck open and needs replaced. It is the part on the washer back where your fill hoses attach to. If the water is flowing into the machine while plugged in and it stops when unplugged, you have something in the control panel sending power to that inlet valve even when the machine is off. You would now need to find out where the power is coming from. If its an electronic control washer, the main board may need replaced.

How do I restore power

Did you try advancing to a different cycle...like spin. The machine would normally have had to detect water weight to begin agitation. Or you could bucket bail or hose water into the tub to see if that would trigger a wash cycle. Lit/powered panel seems to indicate no fuse problem.

F & S GWL15 would not drain. Replaced pump & it drained for a while. Removed diverter, found a dime & some lint, cleaned it out and installed it. Still would not drain, water is on floor, do not see leak....

Have you tried reverse flushing the drain hose?
If you can get the outlet/drain hose to the washtub cold tap
wrap a towel around the hose and tap to stop water going everywhere whilst slowly turning up the water pressure
from the tap.
(Any leaks STOP and check your hose clamps/connections are all tight.)
Water should now be flowing into the machine bowl, and
hopefully turned the pump, and cleared any blockages.

Hope it helps

Washer ran all over the floor after filling up and didnt stop filling

Well, there are two main possibilities: Inlet valves and pressure sensor system. to test the inlet valves, turn off the machine, do they stop? Dirt can keep them open.
If power off stops the water, I suspect the pressure system. There is a component outside at the bottom of the drum that measures the water volume, using pressure. This collector component sometimes gets clogged with detergent. If it is open, test the transducer at the other end of the plastic hose. The system is designed to stop the power to the inlet valves when the pressure builds.

Starbucks sirena lights won't turn on

Just had this happen. Finally I let water run through the steam wand (thought it had to heat up first). Water ran through (until blue light stopped blinking) and now the other lights are blinking...we will see if it works now.

Ran without water will not fill now

Try unplugging the machine for 30 minutes then plugging it back in. I am worried that the pump is bad due to the fact that it needs water to add resistance to work properly and without water the pump spins so free the it burns itself out. But first try unplugging the dishwasher first

The light for CLEAN does not stop blinking

Clean it as directed. (I ran a load of vinegar through the coffee maker, then two loads of clear water.)
Then, turn the power off for a minute. When you turn it back on, the light should stay off.

Solis Palazzo - dreaded ventilate problem

Hi
Your machine is still in the descale mode. You haven't finished. If you have run the descaler through, the water is ermpty the pump will still keep going until it stop on its own. If it doesn't stop on its own, the computer thinks its still in the descale mode. remove the water tank and turn the machine back on. The pump will run and then make a lot of noise, then stop. This can take up to 5 minutes. Let it run until it stops. You will get blinking lights on the panel. Put the water tank back on and close the steam knob then open it again. The pump will start the rinse mode. Let it stop on its own. Computer can't see that you ran a whole tank of water, but it can see when the flow meter stops that there is no water left. If you have already rinsed the machine start the pump flowing and just lift the tank off. When the pumps stops the rinse cycle the descale light will be gone but you will have the heater light blinking and the water light steady. Put the tank back on and close the steam valve then open it again. This will clear the water light and the machine will start to heat again.
