My guess is you either have a satellite or cable box try unplugging the system cable or satellite and set for 5 minutes and then plug them back and and restart the unit up and see if it comes back the gemstar module would some times lock up causing this problem . and please let me know if that get's you working or if there is more trouble shooting to be done

You can try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV.
Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on
the TV and see if it works..
How many times this standby/power light blinks at one time switch ON? Count it carefully. These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. This will make repair easy. For more information, check the link http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
If it shuts off and then the power light starts blinking red or it never comes on but the power light just blinks red continuously that is usually indicative of the convergence ICs (STK 392-110). You never want to replace the ICs without also replacing the resistors that are associated with them. There are usually 6 resistors, one for each of the colors and there corresponding direction, IE Red horizontal, red vertical, blue horizontal, ect. In the case of this model tv all of the resistors are 2.2 Ohm and 2watts. You will find them right where the STK 392-110 ICs are. Right in front of them. They are blue and have this color code on them. Red, red, gold, gold. These are represented by stripes on the resistors. You can get the parts from www.bdent.com They carry the ICs and the resistors. If you do not feel comfortable completing this repair I could do it for you if you send me the board. My email address is: [email protected] The cost is 375.00 and that includes parts. Good Luck.
