Re: HOW DO I BREAK APART THE SOUND STICKS TO REAPPLY THE...
I was able to 'break apart' the SoundStick satellite by wrapping it in a towel, laying it on a solid surface, and carefully tapping along the seams with a small hammer.
You may have to 'tap' it pretty firmly, but it will pop open.
You will now possibly have 3 or 4 'back casings' loose in there. These are actually the magnets of the drivers, and can be carefully placed back in place (you can line them up with the original glue marks). A few drops of super glue will hold them. Now clean up the inside parts and test the system. If all is well, glue the halves together with very small drops of glue in a few places.
It is possible to do this and have the speaker look, and sound like new!

Please try to install the driver of your sound card. Just ensure that your driver installer is supports vista. If not you really need to get one compatible vista, if you know the model of your sound card, just search in the internet for free drivers.
hello. there is no sound from your pc.. check first ur cable connection from the back of your pc.. check the green, blue and pink port.. if the connection is ok, try to uninstall the sound driver of your computer and re install it again.. there is a possibility that the drive is corrupted.. i hope this will solve ur concern..
You may have accidentally switched-off your PC's sound. Do this: 1: Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices 2: In the first "Volume" tab, where there is Device Volume, make sure the "Mute" checkbox is not ticked - the Speaker symbol should also NOT be have a RED tag. 3: Also slide the volume slider to the right... 4: Done!
There is no sound driver, they are speakers, they work off of the audio output jack on the back of your PC, on the motherboard. If you have the sound drivers installed for the motherboard, and no sound, then you have plugged the monitor audio cable into the wrong jack on the PC, or you have the settings wrong just as MIKE said above.
