My machine keeps breaking needles, I have embroidery unit on it,how do I fix this

1. IS THE NEEDLE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR THE MATERIAL?
2. IS THE HOOP BIG ENOUGH FOR THE JOB? IF IT GOES OVER THE EDGE THE NEEDLES WILL BREAK.
3 IS IT SEWING AT ALL? ARE YOU HAVING PROBLEMS WITH GOOD STITCHES OR NONE AT ALL.? THIS WILL NEED YOUR REPAIRMAN TO TIME YOUR MACHINE.
4. FOR A TEST ON TIMING: REGULAR SEWING WITH STRAIGHT STITCH. 1. PLACE NEEDLE ALL THE WAY TO LEFT AND TRY SEWING. 2. PLACE NEEDLE ALL THE WAY TO RIGHT AND TRY SEWING.
WAS THERE ANY NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE? IF THERE WAS THAT TELLS YOU TO GET IT TIMED.

How do I remove the broken needle and replace it on my Union Special industrial overlocker? Do I need a special tool / spanner ?

What is the model number of your machine? But the needles are likely fastened with a small screw. Do you have a small screwdriver? That will likely do the job.
When you take the old needle out, watch which way the flat part of the needle is inserted. That makes it easier to insert the new needle. A mirrow may help you. (But rememeber it is reversed in the mirror!)
That machine looks to be a good quality machine from what I can find.
Does you machine have curved needles? If so, it may use a small nut to hold the needles.
Hope that helps.

12 wt thread

12 wt thread generally will not work well in the bobbin...

"Aurifil 12wt Thread
Aurifil 12 wt thread is ideal for hand quilting, big stitch hand quilting and machine quilting. 12 weight thread creates a more defined and often primitive look. It's great for designs that use a longer stitch length if using a machine. When machine quilting with 12 wt thread, use 40 wt in the bobbin, increase your stitch length, lower your tension, use Topstitch size 90 needles and stitch slowly."

How to thread a singer hand held

Thread should flow from top right of bobbin or spool and the spring must be in place before installing the bobbin.
1. Thread the handy stitcher
2. Pass thread through hole on the thread guide which sticks out from the side of the needle arm.
3. Pass thread through top of the tension control between the plates, but don't wrap completely around the tension control.
4. Then pass the thread through the thread guide located on the bottom side of the needle arm directly behind the needle.
5. Use threader to pass thread through eye of the needle from back to front (opposite of a "real" electronic sewing machine.
Hope this helps.

I have a Janome Magnolia 7330. The bobbin thread will not be drawn up.

The easiest solution would be to change your needle. They do wear out, get bent, etc, and that makes it difficult for them to pick up the bobbin thread. If you did just change the needle, there was a hint here on FixYa about being sure to face the needle correctly. If you feel the needle, there will be a flat side and a curved side. Check your owner's manual to see which side should face which direction.

I own a husqvarna classica 100 the problem I am having is it is skipping stitches. It is used solely as straight stitch machine.

Have you changed your needle? Try that first, if it doesn't work, the timing is off and needs repair.
