Your solution is one of two things.

First is the circuit you have plugged the refrigerator is either over its limit and the breaker is tripping because it is overloaded. In this case you will have to determine what load also share this circuit and eliminate the extra loads or move the cord to another circuit which is not overloaded. Most home circuit are wired with 14 gauge and is rated at 15 amps. When the circuit gets to 15 amp and more, the associated breaker trips to prevent overload.

Second, Your refrigerator may have a short and needs troubleshooting to find the cause. To see if it is a bad circuit try plugging into a circuit via extension cord to circuit in another room receptical. The reason I say another room, when electrical installers wire circuits, you can put several recepticles on the same circuit. If you plug your refrigerator in the same circuit you had it on before then you will get the same problem, your refrigerator tripping again. If your frig trips on a different circuit then troubleshooting the cause will normally require a tech.

Good luck and hope this helps.

My fridge is not staying cool. compressor is running and will run for 10 hours or so then trip the breaker.

If the compressor is running and tripping the breaker, the compressor is likely overheating. This could be caused by a lack of airflow over the compressor and/or an issue with the compressor itself. You will want to check to ensure adequate airflow around the compressor and that any obstructions do not block it.

Where is the fuse for a 9 year old Kelvinator undercounter oven situated?

There is none. Look in the circuit breaker box on the outside of the house for the one marked oven. It will be 2 breakers side by side with a metal part connecting both levers together. Move both handles back and forth a couple of times. That may restore power to the heating element. If one breaker trips it leaves 120 volts to work the light and the clock, but the element is 240 volts. It may have shorted with age. You may need to replace the elements if the breakers keep tripping after you reset it at the panel.

Hi My Kelvinator Beverage Cooler fridge has packed up due to power surge. If possible please could you email me a quotation as i need to purchase another one. Description: 1 door which is glass and its...

Hi.

The price depends on the model and on the internal volume. Here a UK seller: Commercial Beverage Coolers & Commercial Bottle Coolers. Here a SA distributor of beverage coolers. The choice includes Kelvinator.

About the fault. If the problem happened after a power surge it is often possible to repair the cooler replacing the starter relay mounted on top of the compressor. The part is not expensive. Call the Kelvinator number listed on the owner manual to know more about the possible repair or to purchase the part.

Regards.

Kelvinator fridge freezer, fridge too cold frosting at back

Fridges that are less then 10 years old have a lot of POWER. To get rid of the frost, wait until you have eaten most of the food up (maybe a few days), then unplug the fridge and leave the doors open. This will take care of the frost after several hours.

From then on, make sure that when your fridge is full, use a higher setting, and when it is near empty or half way full, use a lower setting. Keeping the freezer at a mid to low setting all the time should be fine, because its usually the fridge part that gives people trouble. You will have to judge on your own which setting is best (i.e you can tell when its good based on how cold the juice is in there, etc).

By adjusting the setting based on the amount of food in your fridge, it should prevent frosting.

Hope that helps!
