What causes my stove top to randomly beat approx 8 times in a row every 2 minutes for sometimes up to several hours, sometimes a few minutes, sometimes quite all day?

I think you mean "beep". I have the same problem and turning off the circuit breaker doesn't
    fix it.

If you mean 'randomly HEAT', then I would suspect the control panel. There would be logic to detect the control touch and convert that into a signal to the controlling system that applies power. If the touch panel is faulty, it may signal for power intermittently.

MY ELECTRIC RANGE KEEPS NEEDING TO BE RESET. iS IT A PART SHORTING OUT OR IS IT THE WRONG AMPERAGE FOR THE OUTLET?

It depends on several factors. First, I'll assume when you "reset" the range, you are resetting the circuit breaker (cb) in the cb panel.
If this is the case then there are two possible causes. 1. The cb is old and worn out. So replace it. 2. There is an occasional overload of the circuit. This causes the cb to trip. For that you will need a qualified electrician to determine what is causing the overload. WARNING!!! Ranges are typically 220 Volts which can kill a person. So leave this up to the pros. Do Not attempt to do this work yourself.

Electric starters keep firing after I sprayed cleaner

your spark modual got shorted with the liquid you sprayed in there or spilled you can try unplugging it overnight to let it dry. at least 24 hours or you can take the cooktop of and get a hairdryer and dry out the spark modual.or if you wait 24 hours - 3 days and still not dried out you need to replace your spark modual but more than likley give it time it will fix itself.

Stove top in lock mode

Hold your finger or thumb on the red light for a few seconds, and you will hear three beeps. This tells you that the lock is off. If the light is not on, do the same and there will be three beeps, and the light will come on, telling you that the lock is back on.
