Old featherweight singer needle won't go up and down. Think pieces of thread may be behind bobben holder. What to do?

Pull out the bobbin/bobbincase and check that there aren't a bunch of threads or lint stuck or wrapped around the internal metal parts. Clean the feed dogs too (you'll probably need to remove the metal needleplate).

I'm guessing your machine hasn't been cleaned and oiled for quite a while. It is mechanical and, like your car, it needs frequent lube to keep it running. Check out the following (this method has worked on several seized machines I've picked up as non-working):

Wheel on right side that controls the needle up and down is very tight...

It was working now it seems to be frozen the needle part wont move

Why won't my singer simple feed the material and the thread jams up on top?

For feeding the material, check that the feed dogs are in the "up" position and not set for darning or free motion quilting.

For the thread jam:
Clean the bobbin area of any lint, threads, or debris.
Be sure to clean the feed dogs and under the needleplate.
Install a brand new needle.
Remove the thread from the machine.
ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading.
Rethread the machine from the beginning.
Verify the thread path is correct.
Set the upper tension to the midway point
Retest the machine.

Standard accessory pkg was not included with the sewing machine Mode4423 SN ZHC1417514317

If your machine is under warranty, Singer will have to send you the cord. If it is not, you can purchase it from an eBay seller; use "Singer 4423 Power" as a search term. Here's a link to one for $17.99 including shipping.

How do i re-install the needleplate on my singer model 30215? I cannot get it to stay down on the 2 reference pins. It keeps poping up. Thank you!

The pins are springs to pull the plate down. Keep the plate flat. Go at an angle and push down on one of the springs and slide under the lip. Do the other side while moving the plate so the plate is aligned. With the springs pulling down it won't pop out.

Singer 30215 putting in timing

Ouch! I can't find any info on your 30215. But there is an OLD 1944 book that will give you some idea of what to look for. Even though it is likely that your machine is more modern then the examples in the book... the basics of sewing machines hasn't changed much in the past 100 years.

Why would my Singer 6235 not feed the fabic:

h! there,
fabric moves forward when machine run due to movement of feed dogs, feed dog has a teeth, when your foot presser goes down attached to fabrics the pressure hold the fabric between pressure foot and feed dogs that why when machine run feed dogs pushed fabric when recieved stitch.try to check adjustment of feed dogs it maybe set at rest or neutral.reset it to upward towards needle.check also bobbins thread if accumulation was build up under feed dogs.regard and have a nice day.

After quilting I can not get the machine to sew normal sewing eg two layers of cotton. Also the stitches aare tiny and I have tried several solutions BUT not fixing the problem Materiel will not move from...

Are the feeddogs raised ?

Also remove needleplate & check for lint buildup between the feedog teeth, as there is a lot of lint in quilting, and it will form felt between the feeddogs and needleplate
