You don't specify which router/TV box you have but these instructions may get you what you want. Look for a small hole on the back or underneath the router, it should be labelled "Reset" or "Factory Reset". Insert a pin or similar into the small hole and keep it there for about 10 seconds.
Open your Web browser, enter your router's IP address into the URL field and press Enter. The IP address of routers is usually "192.168.0.1." It will not ask for a password as this has been reset.

Restoring the Default Settings

You can try unplugging it for about an hour to let it reset itself, but I doubt that it will reset the password.
You must have remote control, I would get the original remote to get full functions.
What is the make and model of the TV?

If it's the LC-37G4U model, double check the System Cable that links the TV to the box. Then, open the front cover of the box; with the TV ON, press the small SYSTEM RESET below the INPUT 3 port.

You may want to check the digital converter boxes and make sure they have analog pass through, it should be listed on the box or the instructions. My Magnavox and Zenith which were bought about a year ago, do not have analog pass through.

Forgotten Parental Control password can be bypassed/cleared by entering "788444" even if 4 digits "----" appears, then press ENT to clear the current password. You can then enter a new parental control password.

I have the manual for the dwm-380 sanyo dvd with tvg.
Go to setup. Then Parental controls. Then scroll down to where you can enter a 4 digit code. To unlock and reset, enter 788444. I know this is 6 digits punch in all 6 then hit enter. This will unlock it. Next, you enter in your 4 digit number. This is your personal code. This may or may not work on other models. Take care.
