Hi, my office phone, the Samsung DS-5021D, only rings 4 times. I would like to extend the ring count to about 6 or 7. I am not sure how to do this. Thank you.
I'm having the same issue on my DS 24D. How do I find the setting option too?I'm having the same issue on my DS 24D. How do I find the setting option too?

To extend the number of rings before your phone goes into the answer message option, change the settings for Answer delay option as described below.
You can set number of rings before your phone answer message kicks in. You can set answer message to begin after 2, 4, 6 or 8 rings.
1. Press <Menu> and up down to select ANS Machine
2. Press <OK> and <up/down> to select TAM Settings
3. Press <OK> and <up/down> to select ANSWER DELAY (OPTIONS: 2, 4, 6 OR 8 RINGS)
4. Press <OK> and <up/down> to select to select desired delay.
5. Press <OK> to confirm.
PLEASE READ ALL FIRST. From any phone in the system: 1. press transfer button then 800. 2. enter password 4321. 3. press volume up button to enable. 4. press speaker button. 5. press 811. 6. press the volume up button to get CLEAR ALL MEMORY. 7. press the square button to the left of the round scroll button to move the cursor under the word NO. 8. press the volume up button to YES. 9. press the square button to the left of the round scroll button. 10. the system will now DEFAULT to the original "OUT OF BOX" condition. BE ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT TO HAPPEN.
The D1600 isn't an answering machine. Please refer to the documentation for whatever answering machine you have connected to your phone. If you need further assistance, feel free to reply to this post but be sure to specify the make and model of the answering machine.
Ring time is only based on the person calling you. It rings until they hang up. There's no possible way to extend that unless you tell them to let it ring longer.
Ring count
You can change the number of times the phone rings before the unit answers calls.
The default setting is "4 rings".
"Toll saver":
The unit answers on the 2nd ring when new messages have been recorded, and on the 4th ring
when there are no new messages. If you call your phone from outside to
listen to new messages, you will know that there are no new
messages when the phone rings for the 3rd time.
You can then hang up without being charged for the call.

Hi I have posted a video for you which shows how to forward calls, you need to find out what the Voice Mail number is, so that you can set the forward to this number. there are various options for forwarding, 'All Calls' and 'Busy , No answer' are the best options, if the one uploaded is wrong chech out 'abbeytel' on Youtube where you will find the right one. Just to note that if you want to forward to your cell this is no problem. Further info vist www.abbeytelecom.com
I guess this is alittle late... but for your knowledge:
First you need to know the extension of the phone that you want to change. Feature 0 at the phone you want to change and hit the intercom key to ensure that we are programming the right phone.
To get into programming press: -> FEATURE 2 6 6 3 4 4 -> Password: 2 6 6 3 4 4 Now you will have to look at your LCD for 3 arrows <- Heading..Enter-> <- Back .......Next-> -> you will now see TERMINALS&SETS and press Enter (the top right arrow key) now put in the extn that you want to change. -> you should now see the extension number of the set and the name that is associated with it, press Enter (the top right arrow key) again -> now you will see LINE ACCESS and press Enter (the top right arrow) again then LINE ASSIGNMENT and hit Enter again -> then you will see Show line:____ and input 001 -> it will show something like L001: Unassigned now press CHANGE till it says Appear&Ring
-> keep putting in all the lines that you want to ring at your desk
till all the lines are found (the numbering scheme counts out funny for Norstar it goes: line 001,002,003,004,025,026,027,028)
-> after you find all the Lines, you now hit RLS to back out of programming.
Voila, your phone will now ring. To change back, do all the same steps, but input Unassigned instead of Appear&Ring.
