My car beeps when I enable and disable the alarm and I'd like to stop. It defaulted back to the beep when I replaced my battery and I'm not sure what sequence of events needs to happen in order to quiet it down.
Hi Nina, there are a few different combinations depending on year and model of alarm, for yours could you try disconnecting the battery again, turn the ignition key to accessory.....the one before ignition start and then reconnect the battery. Let me know if it disables the beeps!

hey check the fues frist. then take a light tester aand see if you have power to your switch. . if every thing work out good it will be the switch

It is shut down in an alarm. The owners manual says to unlock the passenger door to turn off the alarm and allow the engine to start. I had the same problem when I bought a 1996 Jetta whith a dead battery.

If you lock your doors with the remote, you have to use the remote to unlock them or it set off the alarm. I don't know why the manufacturers designed it that way(kind of stupid)but it's programmed into the on board computer. You can't disable the alarm without creating a worse problem somewhere else.

Try to trigger the alam of the car when its in armed mode. See if the horn will go off. Press the lock button twice. If you wont hear any sound coming out then the alarm's horn is the culprit.
