I have loaded a new staple cartridge into my Swingline 520e stapler and it isn't releasing any staples when i attempt to staple something.

Not sure but check for staples that are jammed where the new ones go in. i had one single staple which stuck in and would not let the new ones come out.

Loading Staples or Nails

Make sure there are no staples or nails jammed from previous usage by checking the handle operation.

CAUTION: IF A STAPLE OR NAIL IS JAMMED, POINT THE GUN AWAY FROM

YOURSELF AND OTHERS BEFORE OPENING THE TRACK AS THE JAMMED

STAPLE OR NAIL MAY BE FIRED OUT UPON OPENING

i) Point the bottom of the gun away from you and turn gun sideways.

ii) Turn gun up, grip track release buttons and push away to release, then slide the track out, as shown (fig. 1).

iii) Insert a strip of staples in the chamber with the legs pointing up (fig.1a). If nails are required, turn gun upside

down and tilt the gun away from yourself and load on the right hand side (as indicated on graphics at the

staple and nail exit) with point facing upwards (fig.1b) THE GUN MAY JAM IF NAILS ARE INSERTED IN THE

WRONG SIDE.
*Arrow

iv) Slide staple or nail track back into closed position - a click indicates that it is locked in position.
Your staple and nail gun is now ready for use.

An office dummy put regular staples in the Swingline 660HD stapler which is now jammed. I can't figure out how to open the stapler to get access to the staple tray. I can't pull them out with a large...

There's a rectangular opening at the front end of the stapler. You can insert a rod that fits in the opening, and push the staples back out if they're not hopelessly jammed in-place.

How do I open the swingline model 900xd

It took me and my boss wrestling with this mongo stapler for 15 minutes to figure it out! :0)

To open the front end, pull up on the handle while simultaneously pushing down on the small black lever on the front. This takes some firmness and be warned, if it's jammed with staples it's going to take some serious force to get it open - watch your fingers!!! I strongly suggest the minute you get a jam, open up the front and clear it. Don't continue to staple in hopes it will work or clear itself or you will have a build up of jammed staples making it almost impossible to open and clear. Also note that when you open up the front end the staples tend to shoot out so be careful.

To open the back end to load staples, push forward and up.

Hope this is of help :0)

Swingline 520e does not staple

The trick to clearing this is to rn the stapler WITHOUT the cartridge in. We removed several visible jams, but once we ran it with the cartridge out, a huge piece of staple came out, and then we were able to put the cartridge back in and use it. Woot!

There's a jammed staple but I can't figure out how to open it to fix the problem and refill it

This is how it works on the Arrow staple gun. On the back bottom, opposite end from where the staples come out, there is a little plate. Push it in and it unhooks and pops out. attached to a rod. When you refill with staples, just push them in, then put the rod back in and the spring applies the pressure.

Stapler is not dispensing staples after new cartridge is inserted. Can you help?

Remove the staple cartridge, look into the cartrige area, are there any stray staples in this area, if so remove them, cycle the unit a couple of times without the cartrige in place, check the output end, any stray staples here? re assemble making sure you pull the first row ow staples even with the nozzle of the cartrige.

Hope this helps

My Swingline model 520e jams every other time I staple.

There were a few staples left in the cartridge when the stapler stopped working. I went thru all the steps on bottom for stapler after changing the cartridge with two different cartridges. It makes the noise and puts marks in the paper, but no staples come out of it.

Arrow T-50 stapler

Take out the screw/nut combo @ the end of the gun where you load the staples. The whole rail that holds the staples will then come out and you can then get the little devils of the nested, jammed, rousted up staples out by sliding them out with a screwdriver. Don't jam the screwdriver into your fingers/hand when doing it.
