How should i solve my printer it say manual paper empty

On Line/Error LED
lights red
• Paper jam occurs. To solve the problem, see "Clearing
Paper Jams" on page 5.6.
• The front cover is open. Close the front cover.
• Paper tray is empty. Load the paper in the Tray.
• The toner cartridge is out of toner. Remove the old toner
cartridge and install a new one. See "Installing the Toner
Cartridge" on page 2.4.
• You pressed the Cancel button while the printer is
receiving data.
• In Manual Feed mode, there is no paper in the manual
tray. Load paper into the manual tray.
• If the printer is receiving data, the On Line/Error LED
slowly blinks green.
• If the printer is printing the received data, the On Line/
Error LED blinks green fast.

Put more paper in the Manual Feed tray to allow it to continue or change the settings to bypass Manual Feed Options.

On the left side, near the pichup roller, of the tray there should be a "flag" hanging down in the elips hole. See if it is hanging down or stuck in the "up"position.
If so pul it down and the machine should work fine again.

Here are the things that a steady red light may indicate (from the Owner's Manual):

• A paper jam has occurred. To solve the problem, see "Clearing Jams in the Paper Tray". • The front cover is open. Close the front cover. • The top cover is open. Close the top cover. • The paper tray is empty. Load paper in the tray. See "Loading Paper". • A toner cartridge is not installed. Install a toner cartridge. See "Installing the Starter Toner Cartridge".
• A paper jam has occurred. Check the paper tray area.
• The front cover is open. Close the front cover.
• The top cover is open. Close the top cover.
• The paper tray is empty. Load paper in the tray.
• A toner cartridge is not installed. Install a toner cartridge.

Goto printer properties & change paper source to automatic.

There is a paper empty flag sensor, looks like a plastic paddle, in the tray area. Pull out the paper tray and flick it; make sure that it is not jammed.
Also on the right hand side there is a paper pick- up roller, clean it with a cloth with some alcohol. See page 4-13 for the location of paper feed pick-up roller. page 5-27 shows the paper empty sensor flag

There are actually some certain meaning on the red light and green light showing different information to user. The summaries are:
1) Green On, Red Off = Printer Ready.
2) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Fast-Flashing = Printer warm up.
3) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Off = Printer off-line.
4) Green Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Processing Data.
5) Green Off, Red On = Cover Opened, Toner Empty or Developer Unit / Drum unit missing.
6) Green Off, Red Fast-Flashing = Paper Jam or waiting for jam reset.
7) Green Off, Red Slow-Flashing = Paper Empty or Paper tray is not inserted.
8) Green Off, Red Off = Printer power is off.
9) Green Very-Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Printer in sleep mode.
10) Green (any condition above), Red Slow-Flashing = Toner low or paper empty.
