I can not access my computer after imminent failure message

> imminent failure message ... cannot access

Bad luck that the 'imminent' failure was _SO_ soon followed by _complete_ failure.

Buy a new disk-drive. Disconnect the old disk-drive.
Install Windows to the new disk-drive.
Reconnect the old disk-drive, as a 'slave' disk-drive, and hope that you can access the files on it, even though you could no longer 'boot' Windows from it.

My PS3 will start to load Call Of Duty 5 then just goes blank..But will play other discs.Any Ideas?

When I had a similar issue with my PS2 (GT4 would not load) it was because the disk-reading laser was misaligned. That happened after using the system for many years, so if your system is new, maybe you can skip to the 2nd part of my answer. A slight misalignment could mean that the disk is still read, but the process takes longer. If COD5 requires frequent access to the disk when booting up - as GT4-, that might explain why other games load properly and COD5 doesn't.

Other potential problems: scratched disk (visible scratches), dirty disk (you can clean with a cloth, sweeping radially from the center to the border of the disk), problem with the COD5 data installed in your PS3 hard disk (try reinstalling the game).

Ps3 wont load game circle is there that shows that it is loading but it never loads

I had a similar problem. My PS3 did not start the disk based games. Those disk based games were not visible in the game menu. I did not have problems with the normal movie DVDs or Movie Blu Rays. Those were working fine.

In case you have the similar problem, you should try the following steps;

The PS3 has a special Recovery Menu, which you can access in the following way;:

1. Turn off Playstation 3.
2. Hold the power button down; the system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

The current Recovery Menu supports:
• Restart System: Restarts the PLAYSTATION 3 System.
• Restore Default Settings: Reset all system settings back to default.
• Restore File System: Checks for corrupt/missing system files.
• Rebuild Database: Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION 3.
• Restore PS3 System: Fresh restore; Deletes everything and starts from Scratch.
• System Update: Update the PLAYSTATION 3 System

Select option "Rebuild Database".

After PS3 has executed the DB rebuilding operation, the disc games will be visible again in the menu and are starting automatically when inserted to PS3.

No display when loading game

I have had advice directly from SCE that updates should be done from a flash Drive and not directly from the internet connection on the system, as its quicker and more stable.
I have just had my unit crash on me, by updating first the PSStore update patch, which caused the original issue, then an update for RSV2 pretty much finished it off.

Get the game right in the first place!!!??

Computer system problem

Your hard disk might be SATA interface, and XP don't have access to this type of hardisk. It requires RAD driver for that type of disk.

1). You can make your HDD accessable to XP by disabling the SATA mode in your system BIOS setup. Then XP will access your HDD and it will be installed.

2). You can also make your HDD accessable to XP by atchi driver. Go to your motherboard manufacturer site and download SATA driver according to model number. This may be compressed or auto extract exe. Extract all files and copy it into a floppy disk. Then start your XP and press F6 at first screen, then it will be prompted to insert RAD driver from setup, follow the instructions and XP will be installed on your system.

Thanks

You could also try to clear the Cache to do this access 'memory' in the system blade, and then highlight the hard drive. Now press:

Y, X, X, LB, RB, X, X.

The following message should appear: "Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?"

Accept and the Cache should be Cleared, YOUR SAVES WONT BE AFFECTED, BUT you will have to download again any Game Updates you previously had...

This option is not intended for public use, but ive read it helps on hard drive issues...

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK (even if it isn't really dangerous)...
