There are a couple options here. First you can try to see if the manufacturer has a driver for that product in Windows 8 on their website. Judging by the requirements (xp, 98, 2000), your product may not be supported on Windows 8 as it is probably and legacy (older) product but you never know as some manufacturers keep drivers up for some of their older products. Second option, is to right click the install file and run it in compatibility mode which is in properties. You can get to properties by right clicking or tapping the icon. Once in properties, click or tap compatibility tab, change the options so it is running in Windows XP mode, and try the install after applying it. This option is not guaranteed but its probably the only shot you have at using the original driver on Windows 8. Best of luck.

Hello I wanted to install windows xp on an eee pc 1005ha h, and when the windows installer is loading the data( on that blue screen) I get in about 1 minute the error: "***STOP :oxoooooo7...

to start with win xp is no longer supported by Microsoft as is win 7
that means that any faults will not be rectified so if it doesn't install correctly after a couple of attempts up grade to win 8 or win 10
many programs will now not run on xp as they all modified to run win 7 or later

I have a windows 7 computer and a scanprisa 124 out. My computer doesn't recognize the scanner. Any sugestions?

Hello mariafecbato ,
The manufacturer doesn't offert any support for your device with Windows 7 .
If you absolutely don't wan't to buy a new one , there is a work around :
If you have the W XP install disc , you can install a virtual version of W XP on your machine from http://www.vmware.com/products/player/
If you still have the install disc , you can also partition your primary and install W XP on the new partition from http://download.cnet.com/Partition-Wizard-Home-Edition/3000-2094_4-10962200.html.
Back up your data first.

I have Win 7 on my primary and installed Win XP on my secundary . Works like a charm .
Have a nice day ,
Best regards,
Fanaudi .

Ms-7061 msi motherboard will not install win xp with sata drive

The problem is that your version of XP does not have SATA drivers and therefore does not recognise your new drive. Vista does. If you Google the problem you will find many solutions on how to rectify the situation. Basically, you have to make a floppy disc with the correct drivers for your Motherboard's hard drive controller. Then, when you launch your Windows XP installer, it will ask you a question about needing to install 3rd party drivers. Yes is your answer. Tap F6 to ensure that the installer doesn't skip.Insert the floppy disc and then after the drivers are loaded, the installation will proceded normally. The other alternative is to leave your existing XP installation in place and add the new disc. Later you can clone your old disc onto the new drive and then remove your original disc.
