If you need help with a Canon Powershot, email this site: www.CamerasAndParts.com I don't have their email address handy but it should be on their site. They only deal with the Canon Powershots are they are excellent for help with these cameras. If you need to have it serviced, they're the place for these. They are not much at all as far as cost for having a Canon repaired and they do excellent work. They're also about the fastest on the turnaround times too. Hopefully they can help you with this one. Good luck

It's possible that your camera is like my Canon 20D and 5D cameras. If so, the power switch on the back of the camera is a three position switch. Make sure you try each of the two "ON" positions as one will give full access to available buttons while the other will restrict the use of many of the buttons. Good luck

SOURCE: Blank LCD screen

The Display button manually turns the LCD display on or off to save batteries. If you accidentally had turned the LCD off, It should only take one press of the button to turn it back on and leave it that way. As such, it's not you but the camera. The A570 IS is relatively new. Your camera is likely still under warranty. If so, contact Canon for warranty repair (see the following link):

SOURCE: Canon Powershot SD 1100ES - display problems

My mother has this model camera. I believe there is a setting in the main menu that will allow an energy saving mode that sets the display time or no display. If not it's under warranty and your retailer should replace it if it is within 30 days of purcase date.

I hope this helps, goood luck!

SOURCE: Date/time stamp control in Menu won't allow access

In many cameras these settings depend on the shooting mode. Did you change the shooting mode? If so, return to your normal shooting mode and the function should be available again.

If this doesn't fix your problem I need to know if you have your camera's user manual. If I can find the solution in your user manual I need to know if you can read the steps in your own manual or if I need to provide you a link to read the manual online.

SOURCE: Canon PowerShot G2 buttons don't work

You have a bad button board . This is a single board with a series of small button switches that control all these functions. Most repair shop will charge around 75.00 to fix.

How do i remove the time and date at bottom right corner of picture.

Manual can be downloaded free from here ....

Basically the date stamp can be turned on / off as an option on the RECORD menu. Page 33 of the manual explains it (with pictures).

Note that if the option is turned on, it states that the date / time is permanently embedded in the picture.

Hope this helps

Date display in photos in IXUS40

here is the solution:
The date and time can be included on the pictures taken only with the camera in postcard mode. You must also activate the date stamp option in the menu.
To set the camera into postcard mode, press the [Func.] button on the camera, then use the [arrow down] key to go down to the last option in the menu, and there you can choose the [Postcard mode]. Press [Func.] again to exit the function menu.

To set the date and time stamp, press the [Menu] button and then use the [arrow down] button to go to the [Date stamp] option in the menu. You can set this to "Date" or "Date & Time". Press the [Menu] button again to exit the menu.

I can't view my pictures after the shot,it very blerr

I'm not sure if you are talking about the quick view of a picture just taken, or using playback mode to view shots taken. Either way, I suggest changing batteries so they are fresh.
There are 3 different LCD choices when in "Shooting Mode."
Press "DISP."
The display mode will change each time you press this button.
1- Standard (no info displayed, just pic)
2- Detailed (infor displayed)
3- Off
If you have tried this, then you may want to perform a reset to the cam. This will reset any screen/LCD settings that may have been changed.
Goto the Setup Menu and select "Reset All." Select "OK" and press "Func. Set."
This reset WILL NOT reset the following:
-Current Shooting Mode
-Date/Time, Language, & Video System settings
-White Balance Data (of you have custom settings changed in the custom white calance function)

How do I set up a Canon G9 to display date and time on image.

Press the "play" button to view your photos. Then, press the "display" button until the time/date show up.
If you want them to print out the time and date on the photos, you do this in the "Print Settings" menu. Just press the "menu" button, and then go to the second tab that looks like a printer, then scroll all the way down to "Print Settings..." Press the "Func/Set" button, and then scroll down to where it says "Date: On/Off". Use the directional buttons to select "On" or "Off" and then press teh "Menu" button again.
