SOURCE: I just bought a apex

Just call Charter customer service and they should be able to assist. I just had to do it for a Samsung I have. That is a bit of an off brand, so the Charter remote may not have a built in code available for that TV. Good luck.

Apex digital250A digita tv converterl

The outside antenna gets threaded onto the RF connector that says antenna in. Then either connect another RF cable to the tv and select ch 3 or 4 (switch on back of box) or use the yellow, red and white cable to the tv. If you used the three cables use the remote to select the input you used. Just advance the channels until you find the picture. If you used the RF cable, just tune to channel 3 or 4 whichever you used. Now do a channel scan with the remote that came with the converter. Once that is done you will have to use that same remote to change digital channels.

Dig. lg 26 inches trying to get ch 1to 5

This is the low band in the tuner for the set.

If using a cable box unplug it for a while and plug back in for it to reboot.

Also you can route from a box or even an old VCR signal from its audio/video outputs to a set of rear inputs and bypass the TV tuner--use the box or VCR to change channels.

Leave the set on that input and operate without the tuner in the TV.

Tv will not program in digital signals; only anolog from direct tv box

Any TV hooked up to a cable or satellite box can only "see" one channel...the set-top box (STB) converts the channel you are watching to (usually) Ch. 3 or 4. With cable you can split the input if your TV has 2 RF inputs, with a dish that won't work.

That's why the TV stays on Ch 3 and the STB changes to whatever you want to watch.
