Oohn ive seen this before in some units especally on ones that are in heavy use (lots of water to remove) the drain hole inside unit drain gets stopped up with black mold (wet enviroment it grows quite well) unplug unit and some minor dissasembly of the outter case and it soon becomes obvious what the problem be , i have been somewhat sucessfull with a mild laundry bleach in a trigger sprayer to kill mold and use a pencil to poke open drain holes
I'LL bet thats your problem

SOURCE: water dripping outside the collector

I think that there is a 90 degree bend in the outlet on the bottom right front side of the collection tray that gets pluged with dirt, line etc. You can see this when you remove the collection container from the unit. I used a small piece of wire to clean out the hole and now the water goes into the tank and not onto the floor.

SOURCE: running but not collecting water

your coils are probably frosted up. This can happen from the basement temperature being too cold if you dont have the automatic defrost type of dehumidifier, or it could be low on coolant from a pinhole that leaked it out. Mine did the same thing and I had to buy another one. I bought one thats operates down to 41 degrees Fahrenheit and it is an automatic defrost type. It works good for my basement because I have central air which makes the basement even cooler and harder to dehumidify without freezing the dehumidifier up.

My dehumidifier is collecting water but its not going i ,its going all over my floor?

Go for the simple fix first. Unplug unit and look inside once the cover is removed. It may be that dust and lint that collects on the coils have dropped down into the pan / tray and have blocked the little hole that would allow the water to go into the bucket. Only try this if you can safely remove and replace the cover.

Challenge ram 710 manual

Hello

I would like to buy a dehumidifier "Challenge" ram 710. Is there a possibility to connect a little pipe, so it can be runned for 24 hrs, without having to care if the tank is full or not?

Thank you for all your answers!

Water not draining into bucket and leaking on floor

Unplug the unit and remove the water collection container. Using a flash light, look into the inside of the unit where the collection container was. There should be a plastic or rubber tube or just a hole where the water would drain into the container. Does it appear clogged? If not, carefully use a 12" long Zip Tie that will fit into the hose or the hole and carefully and slowly run the Zip Tie into it as far as you can. While rotating the Tie, pull it back out. If this area was clogged, it should dislodge the clog and the water should start draining as it should.

Hope this helped solve our problem. Please let me know.

I have a GE Dehumidifier Model AHW50LMG1. Am trying to find out how to clean the container that the water is collected into. After use the container contains residue from collected water that I am...

Vinegar is the proper way to clean all parts of a humidifier. It stops scale and kills bacteria and fungus. It can be processed through the heating element without any adverse effects.
Thank you,
James.

A challenge dehumidifier not collecting water

If the room tempature is close to 60, the coils may be frozen (completely encased in ice). If this is the case, move it where the water can drain off - about 1 gallon which may NOT run into the drain bucket.
I out mine over the floor drain.
Turn off and it will defost over night.
Only specially made dehumidifers work below a room temo of 60 degrees (the temp of a basement in winter).
Does it need to be running? A digital humidity sensot from Radio Shack is cheap and may tell you the humidity is OK - only 50% or less.
