Most Whirlpool model numbers start with two or three letters and have another two letters later in the number. W10198615D may be your serial number or a Lowe's product number, not the Whirlpool model number.
Usually though the model number and serial number aren't on the back of the stove. The plaque with this data is on the rim of the oven behind the warming or storage drawer.
is it gas or electric and you should always send the model number off of the machine so we can help you better.if it's gas, you should be able to see the ignitor start to glow orange, when it does start to glow the ignitor should lite the flame within 40 seconds,if it doesn't then you have a bad ignitor,if you can't see it glowing remove the racks and take up the floor so you can see it.if you need more help send the model number,if it's a regular stove with the 4 burners on top open the bottom draw under the oven door, look on the frame and you'll see a tag with the model and serial number, just need the model number
Iquitous, we're sorry to learn of your Oven concerns. We would like to discuss this further with you. Please email us at [email protected] at your earliest convenience with your name, address, a phone number and best time to reach you along with your model and serial number.
The serial and model number is usually stamped on a metal plate, when the oven door is open you can see it on the upper left hand corner of the oven itself it if is not there it will be on the back of the unit. i hope you find it.
