My front loader lg washer starts the cycle gets water but that's as far as it goes

"OE" is really "DE"= drain error. Clean out filter behind access door on lower left corner front panel of machine. (there will be some water in machine)
"IE" = inlet error. machine took too long to fill. clean out inlet water screens where the hoses connect onto machine.

Kinda figured there was a miscue there with your error code however... the error code FE refers to the fact that water is overflowing ( normally means the inlet water valve is stuck open and continues to let in water beyond the expected and/or sensed level.. so the water pump turns on to drain it and keep the level down. This kind of problem would probably warrant a aservice call from a tech since the majority of troubleshooting would require diagnosing the failed component itself and is not something that I recommend you try. There are too many pieces of hardware that have a direct impact on how this works and I highly doubt you want to play the shotgun approach..try this to see if it fixes the problem and if not..try that...
Before calling for service.. try this..
remove or disconect ac power from the washer..let it sit unplugged for at least an hour..then try washing 1 towel at the lowest cold water setting to see if that works ..if it does..repeat the process using only hot water.. if that works... then try the same test using warm water.. ( this test may help determine if the water inlet valve .,.either hot or cold is leaking through it)... If you still get the FE test..call for service.. That's the best I can offer via this chanel... BTW..if only one of the two tests fails.. ( Hot water only generates an FE error.. then chances are the hot water inlet solenoid valve assembly is either sticking open or the controls to that are commanding it to remain open... I removed the three screws, and lower cover cleaned the few pennies, screws and nasty gunk build up from the filter. The wash machine seems to function as it did prior to the clogged issue. Thank you everyone !!!

Hello.
The high pitched sound is a definite sign that the water valve in use is failing. The squeal is from a restricted water flow through the valve because it is not opening all the way. You will need to choose cold or hot to narrow down which valve is bad and replace that one.
