The flyback transformer is normally at the Horizontal section of the
monitor's mother board, It sounds that your flyback transformer might
be the cause, bright
intensive white lines can be fly back defective. . Try changing your
flyback cause I encounter a problem similar to this and it works.

The thin ribbon that connects the board on the back of the lcd screen to the front glass of the lcd screen got damaged.
It wraps around the top of the screen and is very thin and can be easily damaged.
May be from old age and heat at the top of the screen or it could have gotten hit at the top.
The cheapest way to repair this is to replace the lcd screen with a
good used one because trying to find a shop to try to repair it would
cost more than a new monitor.
It will change color with different colors and also if you push the screen at the top point. Don't play with pushing the screen too often as this may cause more to show up.
Sorry there isn't an easy fix to this.

I have dual AOC i2553ph monitors. One day I came into work and notice one of them had a single vertical white line moving slowly back and forth across the screen that looked like a scan or radar function. I reset the monitor from the OSD and all is well again. Use "Extra > reset" from the OSD on AOC monitors.
