Do I need to use the tv remote to set up viewing something off of my sc-dc171 dvd camcorder. my new tv is a Samsung and the model # is UN50F6300AF. how do I view my dvd's on the tv while they play on the camcorder?
You can connect the A/V out to the inputs of the TV.
if you have any HDMI out in the camera, you can connect the same to the HDMI IN of the TV.
Last option is if you have RF modulator, you can modulate the AV out to RF and then connect the same to the TV tuner RF in of the TV.

Downloading the manual and drivers are easily found by simply Googling you camera and adding either driver or manual to the end but to get the original DVD with all the software you would have to contact Samsung themselves or their agent. It will of course cost you but not too much I'd imagine. Anoother way is to keep a check on Ebay and if you see the same model for sale send the seller an email and offer him say $10 to copy the disk and send it to you. Some camera sellers on Ebay are actually large stores so they could well have a spare they can send you. Just don't expect anything for free and offer to pay. Who knows you may end up getting it for free anyway.
