Originally the machine was working, then I noticed it had stopped and all the lights were flashing.. I tried to reset but it wont.. the red light door lock is on and although I can open and shut the door the machine will do the spin cycle etc but wont fill.. we have checked the pipe that the water come in and that works fine and we have checked the filter

first thing to do is to make sure the washing machine is not siphoning. sometimes if a washing machine is bringing in water its all so draining it ,known in the trade as siphoning. the drain hose must be higher than the tub?? Unplug your washing machine from the wall socket for a minute or two and plug it back in to reset its micro. to me it sounds like a main board fault. I think you might find that it still maybe under warranty. ring a Indesit service agent and get some advice.
would try changing the interlock unplug first regards jason

Hi there....looking at the programe selector knob....you should see at three positions on the panel a black dot.....ok.......(1) close the door of the machine and switch on the power....(2) turn the programe knob to any one of the dot positions....(2) push the start button....a red indicator lamp should flash 3times and then remain steady indicating the program has been cancelled....(3) Now select a new wash program and push the start button....machine should operate ok....If not check the drain pump to ensure it is not blocked...or wiring loose ...or burned out....if this is ok...then your most likley looking at a module failure...

my indesit washer/dryer wd12x programme dial goes all the way when it reaches spinning
SOURCE: Hi, I've an Indesit WIA 111
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(no promises but try this!)
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Many of our newer Indesit Washing Machines have a series of indicator lights, which flash to indicate a possible fault on your installation or simply to let you know a problem occurred whilst you were away from your Indesit Washing Machine.
Pre wash light flashing
Indicates a failure of your Indesit Washing Machine to fill correctly. Check your fill hoses for a blockage, a leak, a kink or to make sure that they are turned on.
Wash light flashing
Indicates that your programme dial has been moved from its original position. Simply returning the wash dial to its original position will restore the light to its original status.
Spin light flashing
Indicates that the Indesit Washing Machine has considered the wash load to be excessively un-balanced. Open up the door of the Indesit Washing Machine, re-distribute the garments and retry the spin to resolve this.
End light flashing
Indicates that the Indesit Washing Machine has reached the end of a wash programme.
Wash, rinse and spin lights all lit at the same time would indicate a possible blockage in your under sink wastes system. Check out the additional informationin our 'My Indesit Washing Machine Will Not Empty'
