HOW DO I SELECT ON MY REMOTE TO GET THE PICTURE

what exactly do you mean by "tried to fix it"? I think that would help us find a solution - nothing you do with a remote for either unit should stop you getting a signal. I suspect all that has happened is that your TV is not on the channel that recieves the cable output, first thing to try is turning both units off by unplugging them from the power supply and leaving them for a couple of minutes, then turn the TV on first, then the cable box - hopefully it will auto select the right channel. If you get no luck still then I would be tempted to suspect either a fault in the cable box itself, or the cable connecting it to the TV or the network. Try a factory reset. This might re-enable the other functions.

Try this:
1. Press and hold "Menu" and "Channel+" on the TV. (do not use the remote)
2. Using the other hand, press the Power button.
3. A small screen should appear in the top left part of the screen.
4. Using the remote, select "Memory Recall" and Enter.
5. Power off and reboot the TV and Computer.
6. Run channel auto-scan to regain the picture.

If you are hooked up to a cable box, it will pick up your channels.

Go to source and pick the right hookup (TV, cable<HDMI and so on) when you choose the right one, hit enter on your remote to save your choice. Press menu on your remote and then you can choose picture size, sound, time and other options

Have you tried pressing on the format button? On most cases this is caused because of the format the channel is transmiting, when you turn off and on again the TV auto-formats. But you can solve this by pressing the format button on your remote. Let me knows if it helps.

To reset the tv to factory/ default settings, please follow below procedure.
Turn On the TV, while holding down Up Arrow on the remote control, press Power button on TV, tv will turn itself Off then back On again, release Up Arrow on remote control.
This procedure will reset all settings in tv to default settings.
Problem seems with lcd panel and I'm afraid it does not seems to get solved by resetting tv however try to reset tv by above said procedure.

not sure what model tv you have but there should be a menu on the tv. seach thru it and select the zoom option if not. shut and unplug the tv for 20 minutes that will reset it back to factory settings for you let me know if this helps!

Using the remote control hand unit that came with the TV turn on TV. Then go to the set up menu. Locate the entry for Front Panel Lock (FPL) and select no. Once you have done that exit the set up menu then on the same remote push the "input" button while watching the screen. Push button once wait a few seconds for a picture to appear, if not then push the button again, continue until you have selected the input that provides a picture. Right now you are in the Front inputs you should look for Video 1 or 2.

ON THE SET
1. Turn on the set you want to control for
ON THE REMOTE CONTROL
a)press and hold seach code button. (wait for red ligth lite)
b)select the set you want to control
c)with the power button try to get the set off pushing once and again and again slowly, because when the set finally gets off you have to push the button enter in that particular code.
This instructions are followed when you dont know the codes for specific brands that come with the remote control when you buy it.
