I have a 2013 jeep compass with 30,000 miles. Notice when above 40mph the engine sounds like its revving high although rpms look like where they should be. Is that. Natural. Its been a quite ride and now i have to increase the volume on radio to drown out the noise. Any suggestions?

it does sound like wheel bearing a cv joint dont make noise and then stop but you can jack the car up and in neutral try to shake the tire from side to side.to see if you have any play then turn the wheel by hand try to feel for roughness in bearing. let me know what you find. Phil.

I had the exact same problem on my 04 GC. I put some Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel System Cleaner in from Wal-Mart and it seemed to fix the problems right away. Let me know.

spray a samll amount of either near each vacum line connection if the rpms go up theres your leak!!

you could be low on transmission fluid check that and make sure it registering properly on the dipstick.
