I Have a Phillips model 47pfl7422d/37 the colors seem to have shifted to the left and there is a line on the left which actually is part of the screen of the extreme right side

The colors are shifted to the left. and there is a line with part of the right of the screen on the far left of the screen. I almost looks like 3d without the glasses

I believe that the inverter boards are bad. This is the most common part to go bad on these TVs. I assume that you still have sound. Here is a link for the part:

SOURCE: My rear projection television looks like it is 3D

replace the lamps and then run the synch routine from the main menu. unfortunitly with the expense of the lamps and the low price to replace projection tvs it might not be worthwhile to fix but just replace.

HINT wait till after new years, LCD large screen tv sold about 35% of what was expected during xmas so they will be real real cheap after the 1st of the year

Half of my 47" LCD Phillips screen fades from normal to dark. Any thoughts?

If it\'s a backlight issue one section will be dim and will fade darker or lighter to the other section. It is not a hard on/off line. So if it does fade to dark on one side I would suspect either a faulty backlight bulb (non-replaceable) or a failing backlight inverter (can be replaced.)

My Phillips Model 47FL7422D/37 must be turned on several times before the picture comes on. What is the problem?

If you have tried using different input devices, looked for loose contacts
in power outlet, RC Jack, cable and connectors, the TV might need service.

Philips 47pfl7422d 37 and flickering

Looks like the TV has developed dry solder/dry/shorting capacitors. To make sure, first of all try the same input device on some other TV. If it works there, you can be sure that your TV is having problems. Then I would advise you to stop using it to stop aggravating the defects. It is better to show it to a qualified service technician.

My screen goes dark. I can make out the picture but the left side is almost black, and the rest of it looks dark and/or flickers black.

I was told to replace the master and slave inverters as the capaciters were popped, still didnt fix the problem, have you had any luck???

I have a Philips Model 47FL7422D/37 the left side of the screen is darker than the right side and I can not adjust it. What is the problem.

Scrren problems can be a bad screen or a bad t-con board. The only way to check wich one is by trading out the T-con board, If the problem goes away it was the T-con board if it does not it's your screen. To find the part you have to get the part number from the actual part. you can order parts for this TV at www.interliquidparts.com
