Castel Electronics in Melbourne look after their warranties in Australia. I think their service is pretty good. Sorry, but ive never heard of warranty rejections, UNLESS, the Technician who you obtain service from is NOT an Authorised Service Provider, or the fault was caused by non manufacturer failure, IE. power surges, insect / rodent damage, water ingress etc. Not many Manufacturers honour warranties if non approved / authorised Persons have worked on the machine. The authority given by Manufacturers is to ensure that correctly trained / qualified / Licensed Persons who have access to all the relevant technical data etc, and genuine parts carry out the repairs.

I have the same problem with my TCL unit. I have had the Tech out to day and I am told it is an internal senor in the unit that fails. I am informed by the tech that this is a very common fault with the TCL unit. Also if you live in Australia like me prepare yourself for a fight with TCL due to them not liking to honour the 5 year warranty. I would not recommend this product to anyone

E1 error is an indoor air sensor failure. Its the sensor which reads the ambient room air temperature.
