Ubuntu 8.10 - acer aspire one 150-Ab wireles not working

If it's an old machine with XP, download Ubuntu 14.04, put it on a flash drive and boot from the flash drive. You can make it dual boot or just Ubuntu, ad can access all that's on the computer.

check that the driver compatibility or if it will then describe in details to guide you more

Did you reconfigure your wireless settings in the network settings in the control panel under the wireless connection settings you could try turn it on that way. if its a case that the switch its self is not responding to the new software.you could try running hardware diagnostics on that specific area. ie the wireless network card. dont no if thats much help but its all i got for now.

I don't think you will find a recovery CD but Linux is free to download is suggest using pen drive linux (link bellow) to get the OS you want and the tools you need to make your boot media

a. Go to Applications -> Ubuntu Software Center
b. Search and install "Bluetooth Manager"
c. Your Bluetooth Manager has been set and it can be operated by go to System -> Preferences -> Bluetooth Manager
d. Search and found your device

go into start menu.click all programs then go to acer chrystal eye webcam. i just found mine on the acer apire 5517 so im assuming all the acers with webcams have pretty much the same folder.

if u knew how to open wireles card, then open it and clean wifi card using Pencil Rubber, then fix it back if still cant, rool back driver, if cant reinstall driver . if cant remove and Installl a new driver, then its should be ok

U need to configure your computer to boot from the ubuntu cd inorder to use the live cd. For doing this you need to set your boot device priority with preference to cd drive as first boot device. You can get into the bios settings by typing delete, F2, F12 (this depends upon your motherboard model). Go through the options in the BIOS until you find an option to change the boot priority. After setting it, save and restart the system with the cd in the drive. Select the option in the cd as "Try ubuntu without changes to my computer". ENJOY :-) Don't forget to rate my solution. For Windows users with AOA 150-Bb model: Download Audio_Realtek_v.5.10.0.5772 (Size: 50.5 Mb) available at ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/netbook/aspire_one_150/driver/Audio_Realtek_v.5.10.0.5772.zip Installing it solves the problem, both builtin and external mics working correctly.

On AOA 150-Ab migrated to Windows XP Professional the Driver Audio_Realtek_5.10.0.5628_XPx86 (Size: 42.6 Mb) seems that works fine.
