My Hunter fan & light will not stay on. After about 3-minutes it goes off. I turn the switch off and wait about 5 minutes and it comes on again for about 3-minutes and then goes off.

SOURCE: Hunter ceiling fan

Sounds like the remote receiver units (located where the mains connect to the fans) took a surge and have failed.

SOURCE: How do you set the switch for 3 adjacent ceiling fans

Each remote/fan unit has to be set to a different code otherwise you will always have this problem. Open up one of the remotes and you will see the area where the numbers can be selected, usually one thru five. Then remove the cover on the fan at the ceiling and you will see the same set up. Just go from unit to unit and do not use the same code on any two fan/remote sets and your problem is solved.

SOURCE: Hunter ceiling fan w/ remote won't work

You need to change the receiver inside the fan. It is located in the top canopy of the fan. you don't have to buy a new remote just the receiver to save money and match the dip switches to the remote.

Hunter fan works light broken

Check to make sure light wires are connected at light kit & remote. Otherwise it's probably a bad receiver. If there is a pull chain for the light pull it once & try the remote light button again.

5 yr old tv goes through cycle and tries to come on, eventually does but after many tries.

My sony did almost the exact same thing. I removed the bulb & cleaned all the dust out of the cooling ducts & the screen on the bulb was full of dust. That bought me about a month, then I replaced the bulb & haven't had a problem since(over a year ago). Just make sure you NEVER touch the glass of the new bulb with your hands, oil on your skin will greatly shorten the bulb life! I found a bulb at a local electronics store for under $200.00... don"t forget to clean dust from cooling ducts,& make sure cooling fan is working, bulb gets extremely hot!

Cp9430r

Fixed Hunter ceiling fan with remote light pin out wiring 9 wire plug search words
Hunter Ceiling Fan with remote, fails to turn on light, fails to turn on fan..remote receiver is Cp9430r
1) Test your remote, Hunter uses Radio Frequency remote, point RF remote one inch from antenna of working AM radio, press each button on remote, each button will produce static sound from AM radio, if no sound..check battery wiring or solder connection on loop antenna of remote. If no sound on one or more buttons, disassemble and wash key pad with dish soap, rinse and fan dry, retest. If still one button no work apply graphite paint to button to rebuild conductivity of button.
2) Cp9430r receiver is below fan and above light. Remove light assembly, check receiver dip switches, mine was #5 On 1~4 Off, check remote control dip switches in 9v battery compartment also set #5 On 1~4 Off, new 9v battery still no Fan reversal "click" sound heard coming from the large Blue fan reversal relay located inside the Cp9430 receiver. All other buttons control transistors and will make no sound even if they are working.
3) Disassemble / unplug 9 wire plug from Cp9430r receiver, place receiver on wooden table, 9 wire plug has two empty pin squares, one empty in the center, the other empty we will call #1 ..counting clockwise #2,#3...#4,#5..#6,#7and finally top center next to empty #1 is #8. Now #8 is 110v hot/black ...& #4 neutral/white.
4) Shock Danger..carefully apply ac volts to pins #8,#4 use tape if needed, locate quad operational amplifier i call it radio receiver chip HA17324 on board, google HA17324 Datasheet, locate leg #14 it is across from leg #1. Locate small yellow ceramic capacitor very near leg #14, use capacitor's neg as neg for voltmeter, test volts at #1,#7,#8 and #14. My #1 was 3.1v, #7 3.2v, #8 3.25v and #14 .01v ...why #14 so low? I monitored each leg while pressing remote control buttons...no changes. **Desperate, I sparked (1/2 second or less) #14 with 3.14v from positive leg of yellow capacitor** and retested all legs, no change except now #14 rests at .02v and jumps to 2.5v~2.8v when any button on the remote is pressed then rests at .02v. Now Lights work, Fan speeds work, Reverse rotation Works :-)
Pin Out on 9 wire plug, #1 Empty pin, #2 Alternates w up/down fan rotation, #3 goes to 5uf fan capacitor other side of cap goes to white/neutral AC Line, #4 AC Line neutral, #5 goes to Triac? speeds? , #6 Alternates up/down fan rotation goes to up/dn blue relay, #7 goes to up/dn blue relay looks to be AC hot looking for fan probably paired with #3 changing sides at up/dn blue relay, #8 AC Line hot in. Why did **sparking** work, smarter people might know, i think a small spark got stuck in the chip and sparking helped the chip release it out. No electrical education, novice. Jer. 51 8,9 and 11

I have a Hunter fan with remote. The fan or the light comes on by itself with no one around

See my post below: (Sorry, we're in the same boat)

Hunter ceiling fan with remote, have 5, 4 are seriously impaired! Lights dim to half strengh after variable time 10 seconds-30 minutes. And lights or fan turns on randomly (come home & fan on full blast), and one in which the lights won't dim (just blinks when try to dim)! Hunter "kinda" admits there is serious problem with remote but doesn't have a solution. Tells people to try changing to different code due to possible interference (pain in **** to change code on ceiling base!), was totally ineffective. Then replaced receiver in ceiling base (another total pain) in 3 fans with new ones sent Hunter, still totally useless. Hunter's suggestion, don't use the remote, just use the pull chain. If I had wanted a pull chain fan, I'd have bought a pull chain fan. TOTALLY USELESS! Moral of story: If you want a remote ceiling fan (my friend found out that all their remotes are made by the same company in Taiwan), don't buy Hunter!!!!! P.S. I found a "Kinda"- fix for the lights dimming to half strenth. After turning on the lights, wait 1 second, then dim lights slightly, they will then stay on the strength that you dim them to. - P.P.S. When I changed the receiver in the one where the lights won't dim, it "solved" that problem...Now it has the same problem as the others, lights or fan turn on randomly!

Hunter 93886 fan

You may be drawing to much amperage for the switch to handle both fans. You may be underwired if it is an old house. you can hook wires together without switch in place and see if everything keeps working but don't hook them together with the power on. Also don't run very long as the wires could heat up. Run for about 5 minutes and turn power off and check heating of wires.
