X box 360:"Skate" game freezes at the "create a skater" prompt

I've cleared out the memory cache and the game freezes at the "create a skater" prompt. I also re-formatted the hard drive. I know it's not a disc error because the disc works at the game store. I hope it's not a console problem, but all of my other games play fine. Any Ideas? Thanks.

It could be the cache that's causing it but, I'm betting on the disk itself has gone bad on you, had the same issue my copy would load them freeze even after clearing the xbox360 cache. Here's how to clear the cache.

The Xbox 360 system cache stores such items as game updates, system update installation packages, and gamer pictures of your friends. You can often resolve issues with your Xbox 360 by clearing the system cache.

The following are not removed when you clear the Xbox 360 cache:

  • Your gamertag
  • Content that you have downloaded
  • Game files
  • Console software updates.

Clearing the cache removes previously downloaded game updates. You must download these updates again the next time you play the game.
To clear the system cache

  1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and selectSystem Settings.
  2. Select Storage or Memory.

  1. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)
  2. Select Clear System Cache.

My xbox work read copy games or originals

Did you try to flash the X-BOX drive with the j-tag exploit, if yes then it must have not run successfully , if you have not dont do it as it will just ruin your console if you donot know what you are doing. Try using a Cd-Lens cleaner as your DVD-Lens might be dirty and could be a cause. Does the disk spin when it is inserted into the drive ?

My sons Xbox 360 keeps freezing. Is there anything I can do? As soon as he gets the game going it freezes.

This is usually a precursor to your console receiving the "Red Rings of Death". However it could also just be a scratched disc.

You can also try to clear the harddrives cache
"a. Locate the System section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard. b. Select Memory, select Hard Drive, and then press Y to view the device options screen.c. On the Xbox 360 Controller, press the X button, press the X button again, press the left bumper, press the right bumper, press the X button, and then press the X button again.d. You will be prompted to confirm system maintenance, select Yes by pressing A."

Fallout 3 Freezing Problems???

Fallout 3 freezing is an unfortunately common problem. A lot of people have reported that clearing the game cache on your 360 will fix it, so that's what I would suggest you try first.

To do this:
  1. start up your 360, then take out the Fallout 3 game disc.
  2. Hold down the A button on the Player 1 controller
  3. Put Fallout 3 in your 360, then load the game
If this doesn't fix it, the next thing you could try is to clear the system cache. This will clear the entire cache for your 360, including the automatic updates (though downloaded content, save files, and user dats will be untouched).

To do this:
  1. Navigate to System > Memory
  2. Highlight the hard disk in the list and press Y
  3. Press X, X, LB, RB, X, X
If done right, you should see a message asking, "perform system maintenance?" Proceed with this, and it will clear all the cache data out and revert Fallout 3 back to version 1.0 (it should ask you to update once you load the game)

Hope this helps - I've had my share of frustration with Fallout 3 glitches.
