I tried to install the drivers for my new MF 4150. After several trys, I got it working on my PC running XP Professional, but on my PC running XP Home, the USB Hub come us "Unknown Device" and "no drivers installed.
I loaded the disk, I downloaded the drivers from the Canon site. They are in the System 32 file, but I cannot get the USB Hub to recognize or load them. I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. I turned off the anti-virus and reinstalled.
Can you help?

1) You should pay attention to those unknown device messages and if a driver wizard pops up, select enter driver location and select the folder you installed your printer drivers. Then click next and the wizard does everything else.
2) Open the device manager by GOING TO START. DO NOT USE THE SHORTCUT ON YOUR DESKTOP. Then right-click my computer. Click Properties. Go to the hardware tab and click device manager. Then find your device. Rightclick device. Go to properties. Then go to the drivers tab. Click UPDATE DRIVERS an look at number 1 above.

I occasionally run across a single bad USB port on computers. Plugging the device into another port can fix the problem in this type of situation.

If you removed and reinstalled toner correctly several times and this error code is flashing, you need to try another new toner cartridge, even though the other one may seem still good to you.
If this doesn't remedy problem the Troubleshooting section of the Canonusa.com website says to call 1-800-OK-CANON.

I have the same problem with the 4150 Laser MF Canon.
I have uninstalled every evidence of the CD software and re-installed (4times) it and my computer will not find the Print Drivers?
I tried every USB Port and still the same problem. What a waste of time.
It works fine on my Acer Laptop, but not this Desktop.
Any help or answer would be greatly appreciated.
