SOURCE: installing washing machine motor P/N 35-5022, need wiring schematic to hook up to machine internals

The black or brown connection block on the motor should be color coded to match the harness. If not you will need to remove the control panel and find the service guide sheet. This will give you the wiring diagram for the whole machine.

Is there a white or black connector that clips on the motor switch? it should be an easy unplug and plug the new motor in.

I dont of any Manufacturer that uses single wire connectors any more.

Are you sure you got the correct motor?

SOURCE: wiring off-road lights to the fuse box

My best advice is to put in an in line fuse. You can buy them at wal-mart for less than $8 bucks. Its easy, cheap, and saves your lights.

SOURCE: How to wire 2 ohm 2 12ich alpine type r's to box terminals?

Dual 4 ohm subwoofers can only be wired @ 1 ohm, 4 ohm or 8 ohm.
2 ohm mono load is not possible.
You will need to use (1) subwoofer to get the 1000W out of the amp.
Wire both positives on one sub to + on amplifier and both - on the same sub to - on amplifier to give the amplifier a 2 Ohm load.
Add a second amplifier, or buy an amplifier that is 1 ohm mono stable.
You can wire both to the amplifier at 4 ohms 600W, but they will share the power and only see 300W ea.

How do you hookup a universal hvac condeser motor the old one had a black wire, red and a brown wire plus the green&yellow ground the new one has a black wire a yellow then it has back connetor thats...

WHAT??? Did the new motor come with a wiring diagram? Typically you will either be using a "3 wire" connection or a "4 wire" connection. 3 wire is for using the existing capacitor (provided it's the right size), 4 wire is for using a separate capacitor. You should have 5 total wires on new motor HIGH/LOW/COMMON/CAP & CAP. Then possibly some separate wires for ground and rotation. The ground goes right where you mount the motor, rotation...make sure its blown up and out of the machine. 3 wires would be...1 SPEED 1 COMMON 1 CAP. 4 wire would be 1 SPEED 1 COMMON 2 CAPACITOR WIRES. Good Luck!!

I'M REPLACING AN OLD LEVITON ROTARY DIMMER WITH A LUTRON PADDLE DIMMER. THIS IS A 3-WAY SWITCH. THE ROTARY DIMMER HAS 2 BLACK WIRES, 1 RED, AND 1 GREEN. THE NEW DIMMER HAS 1 BLACK WIRE, 1 RED, 1...

with a three way switch like this, you will have two traveller wires and a common wire. Look in the instructions for the switch or on the back of the device itself to see if there is a wire labeled "common" or "com". This common wire from the old switch hooks up to the common wire on the new switch. I did a bit of searching on the leviton 6602, but couldn't find anything specifically about the three way version (I would venture to guess, however, that the red wire on the old switch is the common). The common on one of the three way switches will always be a constant hot (or power) wire...the common on the other three way switch will be the "switch leg" or the wire that connects directly to the light. The two travellers go to the other two wires. Check the pamplet that came with the lutron device, it should show which wire is common and which are travellers.

Where do you hook in the neutral wire (common) on 230 volt install

You do not...you only use three of the 4 wires if you have a neutral pulled out to the box. Both line wires go to the motor along with the ground, cap off the neutral.

Trying to install this thing, and having a slight issue. I've got a white, black and red line power line in the bathroom, obviously.. I've also got a dual switch Leviton 5634 which I'm just trying to...

I assume these three wires are coming to the switch box via from the light/fan unit and the light/fan unit has a box with 5 wires in it, including a white and black from the electric panel, and that the neutral is not routed to your switch box. I think your mistake is assuming that the black wire in the switch box is the hot wire, but it is actually the red or the white. Try switching the wires on your switch so that the red is common, If that doesn't work, try the white as common. Or you might open the box where the fan is, and confirm which of your three wires is connected to the hot black wire. Please vote if you found this helpful.

I have a goodman phkjo48-1 heat pump about 5 yrs old. suddenly no matter heat or air turned on only the fan would come on regardles, the main motor outside would not run. I took off the motor to have it...

Yes Jay, this is what happened. Hopefully you didn't burn out the condenser fan motor you just had tested.Brown normally connects to the capacitor, as this is what starts and keeps the motor running. Hopefully, it just got hot and overloaded to trip the breaker. You say there are 3 wires coming out of a junction box, but you don't remember how they go. @ are hot wires as this motor is 220 volts. Not being onsite with you, and the wires are now faded from the sun, you will need to find out where they connect, ( the 3 coming out of box ) to see which 2 go to most likely they contactor you replaced. They will connect 1 to the load side and the other to the load side but opposite each other. The load side is the side of the contactor that the main 2 hot wires dono't connect to. This is the line side in.If you are sure you wire the contactor right, then it has to be the motor. If you follow the brown wire back, it should go to the run capacitor. Re-check your connections on the motor, even if you have to look at the schematic, which will show you where they connect, and the colors. It should be real easy for you Jay. Get back to me and keep me posted. The new motors have 2 brn wires that go to the capacitor and 2 to 3 going to the load side of the contactor.

I,m not exactley sure how to connect the wiring to the capacitor,on a three phase unit,or one that is wired for three phase (a/c).

If it is a three phase motor then it will not require a capacitor. Residential A/C compressors and fan motors have 3 wires coming out of then but they are not three phase, they are still single phase. If you are working with a residential system then you should have one wire that is common, one wire that is the start winding, and one wire that is the run winding. To connect it, L1 from the contactor would connect to one side of the capacitor. Connect the run wire to the same side of the capacitor. Connect the start wire to the opposite side of the capacitor. The common wire will connect to L2 on the contactor.

Some submersible pumps have a gray motor box to start the pump & some submersible pumps have the new style motor box built in and is not lighting proof. some 240vac are two wire and three! I would like...

The difference in the two pumps is that with a three wire pump the start and run capacitors are in the gray box. With a two wire pump the caps. are built into the motor. Because of this with a two wire pump you only need to run the 240v down the well to the pump. The yellow wire on the three wire pumps is the igh voltage wire that come from the start cap. I have used both pums but usually use the two wire because they are easier to hookup and the wire is cheaper because you only need to run three wires. (2 hots and ground) On large HP pumps you will always have three wire motors because the caps. get too big to get them in the motor. It is best to go three phase with big pump if you can.

Wire wayne 1.5 hp irrigation motor.

Your wires- Black=hot, White=common, bare copper wire=ground.
Motor wires- Black=hot, White=common.

Connections: Black to black, white to white, bare copper from line in to motor frame.

The wires from the motor should have been designed to carry the power load. Heavier wiring is always an option, to a point.
