I have a Goodmans MP3 player and when I put it into any of my USB ports, it shows on the player as being connected, but nothing is in My Computer and I cannot download music. It's driving me mad.

Open up your windows media player on your computer and select the sync tab on the upper righthand side .Plug In your MP3 Player and now It should be recognized there on the right pane window when you use the sync feature on windows media player !! Drag your music files from your library to this area and they should sync to your player using the button in the lower right hand corner area . I believe it will say sync or sync device !! My Goodmans digital audio player is not working. And i could not able to play and listen songs. it is not opening. And how to charge this player? pl. help me

Your MP3 player can only play mp3 file format music files. The files are copied to the player from the computer using the supplied USB cable. The MP3 player is charged up using the same USB cable when it is connected to the computer.

Computer does not recognize Coby MP822 4G MP3 player

The actual MP3 player should display a USB connection on the screen, if not, I would say its a connection issue (bad USB cable), my guess is your using a laptop, a lot of laptops disable their USB power options, you probably need to re-enable your USB ports, if desktop, it should show a USB connection on MP3, if not, battery or cable issue.

Player does not charge from USB port

make sure no other devices are plugged into your computer at the time. Also try restarting the computer with the device still connected.

If operating on a laptop be aware that you may not be receiving enough voltage to your USB port to satisfy the MP3 player. Try disegaging the laptop batter for an hour and then reconnecting it.

You have all posted different issues into one forum - bad idea.

For the laptop people - many laptops have USB ports that do not have enough power to drive/charge an Mp3 player - must use USB 2.0 ports.

"HD Audio Bus" guy - go here for the missing driver: Go to Microsoft's own site, and try the hotfix/driver:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835221

Woest - Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
