If your television is fitted with a UHF tuner it should just be that you need to re-tune your set. This is often the case between seasons. If it is not fitted with one, then you need to buy and install a digital set top box to receive all stations, (Analogue, UHF and digital) in your area.

Will not find digital tv stations
Hi,

I'll be glad to assist you in locating the digital channels in the TV.
Make sure that the Cable or Antenna Input is connected to the TV. The Cable and Antenna input can be connected to the VHF/UHF Input on the TV. The TV can search for the channels only if the VHF/UHF/CABLE input is connected to the TV. If you're connecting the Cable box or the Satellite Receiver to the Video or HDMI inputs on the TV, then it is not require to auto program the TV. Here, the auto program may be required in the cable box.
To Auto Program the TV, select the Manual Channel Search option from the Menu option and then select the CABLE, AIR or Digital Add-On option depends on the connection. The Digital Add-On option adds any new digital channels that are found to the Channel Scan Database.

To watch Dish Network in your room there a couple of different ways to do it. Unless that cable coming out of your wall is connected to a Dishnetwork reciever its useless.Now if the reciever in your living room is a dual tuner dvr than you can run a cable from one of the two outputs to your bedroom. In this scenario you can watch different channels at the same time. If it isnt a dual tuner then you can actually put a splitter on the cable coming out of the box to the tv(has to be on cable coming out of the reciever) and run it to your bedroom. In this scenario both tvs will show the same channel.In both cases you need a UHF remote(dual tuner DVRs come with one UHF and one infrared) that will allow you to change channels while in your bedroom. If you want HD programing on both tvs you will need to contact Dish Network to get a second reciever. its $7 more a month for a second reciever.

I live in Victoria Tx. I can not afford cable or dish. I am able to recieve all 4 of the the number 25 channels. Why am I not able to recieve any of the three number 19 channes. All 19 and 25...

Channel 19 actually broadcasts on VHF channel 11 (approximately 201MHZ) and channel 25 actually broadcasts on UHF channel 15 (approximately 479MHZ). I know that sounds a bit weird but it has been done so that stations don't have to change there "call" channel number when we switched to Digital TV. Your digital converter box keeps track of this. This is important to understand because you need and antenna that is good at picking up both UHF and VHF signals. If you're not getting channel 19 it may be due to a poor VHF portion of your antenna. If your using a basic old set of rabbit ears for your antenna that has a loop in the middle then I might have a trick for you. Most rabbit ears have 2 telescopic antenna elements. Extend or collapse until each length is 14.7 inches long. (Which is a quarter wavelength at 201MHZ). You are effectively tuning (Optimizing) your antenna specifically for that channel 19. You may need to rotate your antenna a bit to find the best signal.

There are other factors which can hinder you receiving channel 19 but this is a good starting point. Let me know what type of antenna you have. Hope this helps.

VHF channels come in however UHF channels are not
uhf and vhf tuning is performed in one board(tuner brd) there are some on line part stores that can help you with the number and price, you'll need to provide the model number. partstore.com is one of them, but there are more.good luck.

I just bought a 19av615db, located in Ireland. how do I set up? Not connecting it to sky or anything,just want to get local channels for now?
If you are in Nothern Ireland you will need a UHF antenna, and Republic Ireland you will need VHF and UHF antenna to recieve off the air signals.
Connect the antenna to the back of the TV. Turn the TV on, select "menu" button on your remote and slect TV from TV/Cable menu press enter, go to main menu and select channel set up menu and select auto channel button and when finished press menu button, check your user manual for details.

Local channel went digital, lost signal.
You need a digital to analog convertor box to recieve the digital signal.

All UHF+VHF signals will be digital starting in June.

Making the TV VHF plus UHF cable ready
If your tv tuner on vhf only goes to channel 13 you will not recieve uhf channels if you are hooked to cable tv. You can do a search for mid band to uhf converters (converts uhf to vhf).We used to use them in the early 80's. Even if you can find one it will only go to channel 22.

No uhf with antannae
UHF channels are basically "line of sight" type signals. You need to be pretty near those UHF stations.
You need a Uhf or combination Uhf/ Vhf antenna to receive them - - Usually an out-door type.
Your TV needs to be set in the "antenna" mode to tune beyond channel 13 "air type" channels. Channel 14 is the first UHF channel if you're in the antenna mode. If you're in the "Cable" mode then channel 14 is a cable channel which is operating at a different frequency from UHF.
