Hi dear.Run the machine empty on hottest wash cycle & add some bleach while it's filling with hot water.(It can produce some foam when it's runing,it's normal)That should solve the problem.I hope that helps.Thanks.
I have been struggling with the same issue for a long time. Regular bleach and mold-killing products did not work. But I just tried Clorox "Washing Machine Cleaner" and was amazed. I scraped off the loose mold from the rubber gasket and then painted on the product, which is thicker than bleach. After about 20 min. I scrubbed it down with water and painted a second coat on the tough areas. No more mold. I also ran some through the machine per the instructions for good measure and ran another rinse cycle. I am in no way connected to Clorox, but I am so happy to be rid of this problem. Good luck.

Maytag's solution was to run an empty load using hot water and a cup of bleach instead of soap. According to them you are supposed to do this quite often. If the rubber ring that seals the door gets mold on it you are supposed to use a water/bleach solution and wipe it down with a rag.
This is a problem common to many front load washers. Besides being very important to wile the the rubber boot down thoroughly there are a couple of products that claim to get rid of the mold and smell. I, myself, have ***** tried these but you might want to give it a shot. One of them is called Purewasher and is offered on the site www.smellywasher.com. Some time ago Maytag came out with a Mildew/Odor kit that they may still provede. again, I don't know for sure how well it works but it too may be worth trying
