Is this a new fridge? if not it might be the defroster cycle, like a bad defroster heater or defroster sensor or the wost thing, your compressor is bad.

Hi, This will happen if you have a faulty defrost timer or the the heater is not working when it goes into defrost. The reason its not so cold after a week or so because the ice builds up & doesnt run efficently which is why when you switch it off & defrost it works great.

take ac cage off or ac out of window so insides are exposed take out side and use water hose and clean out side coils and in side coils dont bend these coils or u will be sorry,,,clean out good if not stoped up have freon put in
More than likely the fridge isn't breathing properly. The most common solution for this is to clean behind the fridge. It is the most common place that people forget to clean. On the back of the fridge at the bottom there should be a "filter" usually cardboard that gets full of dust bunnies and just all around dirt. The back is where the fridge breaths air in and without air the fridge suffocates itself and will run more trying to get air in resulting in a warm fridge. Good luck.
possible ice build-up behind the inside rear panel. you have to remoive panel defrost ice with hair dryer then replace the heater/defrost cable. the job cost around 125. for an appliance tech to fix it hope this helps...
