IS PROPANE TANK RESIGNED TO BE MOUNTED VERTICAL OR HORIZONTAL? The Outflow tube of the vertically mounted tank runs to within an inch of the bottom of the tank. The horizontally mounted Tank has an outflow tube that has a 90 degree bend half way down to 1" of the side of the tank if it mounted in the wrong oreintation for it's design.. When used in it's proper application, the orientation would be correct for gas pickup.
Gas may have settled. Turn it upside down several times. Usually happens when it gets cold outside.

If you are sure that gas is coming out of the burner(s) at a roughly normal rate, then the only way it will not light is if you have a bad tank of propane. If you mean it lights but wont stay on, then the safety thermocouples (need to be hot to allow gas to flow) may be faulty - more likely somehow out of position - they can be gently bent back into place but not more than a couple of times. (the way to check if these are the problem is to make sure you are lighting the grill with the control knob in the "light" position - usually held in for a few seconds - this will bypass the thermocouples) If the problem is that the autostart feature is not working, then please post back with details and we can hopefully help identify the problem. Hope this helps - please post again with more info if not :)

I had this problem when I turned on the burners before I turned on the tank, to fix it I had to turn everything off. Then turn the tank on and wait about a minute for pressure to build in the lines then turn on the burners. Hope this helps

The new style
OPD valves have a small brass ring located in the female
fitting on the LP tank. Over time this ring can work loose and then it
does not allow the male fitting to fully depress the OPD valve thus
reducing your gas flow
Using a small flat bladed screw driver tighten the small brass ring This
should solve your problem
IF not you might want to remove the cap
(white) on your regulator and try slowly adjusting the regulator, make
small adjustments and try the BBQ My Weber if I set the front and back
burners to MED I get right at 350 degrees in 60 degree outdoor temps.
Adjusting the regulator will take some time to get it right but If it is
not your tank it is most likely your regulator out of adjustment

An odd thing with many propane gas grills is how the regulator functions. If the tank is opened too fast the regulator over-adjusts and delivers no gas. Try this: Turn tank off and open all burner controls. This should clear the line of any gas. Close burner controls and open tank very slow. Now lite and temp should go up.

I have a brand new weber grill genesis...It happened to me...I have a 3 burner...light the first burner on high....then turn down to medium...then light second burner on high...turn down to medium....then the 3rd burner on high...turn down to medium.....wait 5 seconds and bring them all to high. Apparently since they are larger burners it gives a chance for the gas pressure to equalize. I haven't had a problem since doing it that way. Don
