Connect it to a PC that has the latest Blackberry desktop software installed and update the OS on the Playbook. If the computer will not detect that Playbook might be toast. I just tossed one that would recognize but the power button was bad and the batteries were oozing fluid.

The problem may be with your charger, Micro usb cable or your micro usb port. The blackberry playbook rapid charger uses the little brass buttons to charge and will help you diagnose if the problem is with the playbook battery or if the problem is with the micro usb connection.

Is the charger any good..and also have you tried charging it from the pc....then we have to consider the usb cable...is it working...also check to see if the usb port was bent in anyway....if all of the above is good then you should bring it in a good local repair shop

it sounds like a broken charge port on a fully discharged play book..The charge port will need to be replaced.. RIM can tell you a local dealer to do this for you or if its covered by your warranty.

Apparently it needs to be reformatted. Connect it to your computer and use the blackberry software on it to RESTORE OR UPGRADE the OS on the device.

More than likely the power cord/charger is dead or the battery is. Bring it to a tech store and see if you can test out a new cord/charger and battery...

this happened to me, it needs charging make sure the lead has the blackberry symbol facing up....

Had the same problem with mine using stand cradlle. rapid charger, I solve it by cleaning the conecttor on tablet and charger with cotton bud and brake cleaner ( any solvant or even alcool will do )

my blackbery play book i had it for 2 months after it will not charge at all i tried all chargers what could i do
