Similar problem in other Oki's

It's not a drum, I would check the ITB Belt. Known for binding failure.

Okidata didn't spend a whole lot of money/quality plastic/nylon bushings and parts associated with the drive roller and other associated part for their ITB Belt assembly.

I hope this helps,,,Steve

Okidata c9500 paper jams between

If you are getting jams in the fuser or right after it the fuser is probly bad. I think there is a mylar upgrade that attaches to the toner sensor arms under the top cover(not an easy fix). It is also possible the drum unit or the toner cartridge could be bad.

It would help if you said where the paper jam was. However the fact that it was ok until you cleared the jam indicates you have knocked something out of place. Its just possible one of the high voltage contact springs that touch the drums has stuck in and no longer makes contacts with one of the drums. Make sure all the semi circular springs move in and out freely. Also check the led heads in the top cover. Make sure all the cables are seated in the heads ok. Make sure all the heads are in the same position and one has not turned around. Retrace your steps as your drums seem to be problem.

Okipage 8w print drum

To reset the drum counter on these it can be done by this
link to oki 8w Image Drum Cartridge instructions

http://my.okidata.com/man-8w.NSF/MOCContents/5577D9A2FD2AC576852566C100507580?OpenDocument

or if I explain it, go to printers and faxs on your pc find the oki icon for your printer right click it and propertys.... go to printing preference tab, look in there....

If you are having image problems with new drum, I doubt any reset will help.

Post back any issues or check link below chapter 5

Oki C9500 makes VERY LOUD clunking noises but prints fine...

The sound is most probably from one (or more) of the drum units. You can check by taking them out and trying to run the visible gears by hand. If you have spare drums, change them one at a time until you find the defective one.
