SOURCE: Tv wont turn on worked fine last night

If there is no power at all, then the problem is likely the power supply unit.
The PSU must be tested, then eventually replaced.

SOURCE: Panasonic viera has flashing channel info in upper left corner

I had this exact same issue just yesterday. Channel info would flash intermittently. While set was in this mode, could not enter menu, change channels, etc. from remote or front panel controls. Similar to tjh492, I thought it might be an overheating issue. But unplugging the Viera and waiting for set to cool made no difference.

I then remembered that this issue popped up the instance I surfed to a particular channel (FWIW, 26-3 "Me Too" on Comcast here in Aurora, Illinois, USA). I had a hunch that there might be an issue with the signal on the channel that prevented the Viera from properly syncing, so I decided to unplug the antenna cable. Once I did that, the channel info displayed steady. I was then able to change channels (of course screen was blank as antenna cable was unplugged) and enter the Viera menu. I immediately went to channel set-up and manually removed channel 26-3 from the channel list. After reconnecting cable, Viera was back to normal. Since I'm not a big fan of "Me Too", problem solved :)

Not sure why a digital channel sync issue would effectively make the Viera remote and front panel controls inoperable. Pure speculation, but it could be that the Viera microprocessor was overloaded trying to sync to channel and this prevented any interrupts from remote or front panel controls.

SOURCE: LG TV - TV Guide Function Stuck

I have the same issue on an LG TV. The TV Guide is completely black with a small picture in the corner. It's as if the software is no longer working.

LG Plasma picture probles

hi there. I have this same TV, and the exact same problem. Last night, i was playing around with it, took off the entire back of it to see if I could fix it. After a few minutes of tinkering, I found that if I apply pressure to the TV in a specific way, the left side of the picture comes back. Here's what I did: standing in front of the TV, I hold the top of it, in the middle with my right hand, and the upper left corner with my left hand. Then, I gently apply pressure, forward (away from me) with my right hand, and backwards (toward me) with my left hand. Sort of like trying to "bend" the screen. At some point, the picture comes back .. . the problem is, if I let go, then the colored lines come back . . . maybe one can mount it on a wall in such a way that the pressure is still there . .. i haven't tried. That's all I got.

No picture, sound and flashing red power light...

Pull off the back pressboard. At the bottom left hand corner is the power cord that attaches to the power supply board. There is a white plug that attaches directly to the power cord. With the TV power off, pull this white plug up to disconnect. Then push it back in. Then plug your TV back in and press the power button on the front of the TV. I just did this and it is working fine.
