A 9 flash indicates a brake issue. Make sure the motors/brakes are both locked into gear before turning on the chair. It could mean that one of the motors is unplugged from the main controller or a wire is broken between the motor/brake and the main controller.

check the freewheel levers. the clicking you hear is the electric brakes energizing. hope this helps

My jazzy 1170xl plus won't move. When I power it on the lights come on like there supposed to but as soon as I move the joystick the battery level lights start to flash rapidly. 9 of the 10 lights...

Code 9: brake fault. Check motor connections and make sure that the levers are in the engaged position - if you can roll the chair the gearbox is not engaged.

Shoprider power chair won't move and 8 Battery LED Lights are flashing

Code 8: Controller problem. Also, check to see if your gearbox levers are engaged - if you can roll the chair by hand the gearbox is not engaging the motors.

Jet 3 Power Chair shows a full charge, drive about a block and the lights indicate almost dead. I turn it off and then back on and it shows more bars and I drive it back home. I've tested both bat

the motors may have won brushes or the brakes are hanging up causing high battery usage
