You don't need a new hose. Remove the two Phillips head screws which hold down the wand cover. Be very careful when removing these parts. Pay close attention on how these parts are assembled. They are spring loaded and will fly out the end of the hose assembly when the cover is removed. The wand valve assembly or the nozzle valve assembly or usually the parts that break. Hoover max extract leaks from end of upholstery hose

Hello! The nozzle/valve assembly, the white piece at the end of the hose that releases the solution may be clogged with build-up residue. Try soaking the trigger end in warm water for a few hours. If this does not help, the nozzle/valve assembly may need to be replaced. Order the nozzle/valve assembly by following this link. Search Results or order the complete hose assembly by following this link. Search Results

Hope this helps!

I have a Hoover V2 Steam Vac widepath and the

Hello,

This is a notorious problem with the Hoover V2 SteamVac's. In fact the tank design by Hoover on your SteamVac was so bad, that Hoover redesigned this tank almost immediately due to the numerous problems customers were having.

For your particular problem, you really have two options. The first option is putting a bandaid over the problem, but will still fix it. We sell the entire gasket assembly on the bottom of the detergent tank as a replacement part. Unfortunately it's sold together with the seal, spring, and valve together as an assembly;

You also may wish to fix the problem completely by replacing the entire clean water solution tank. Hoover has redesigned this tank, and the new one I don't see near the amount of problems that I do on the older style tanks. The plastic is much more sturdy, and less prone to having the gasket and valve issues that the old tanks do. It's important to point out that the new tank does not come with the handle. You'll need to remove the handle from your old tank if you buy a new tank assembly complete. Rest assured that if you do purchase any part from GoVacuum, you'll have 60 days to return it for a full refund, just in case the repair doesn't work. Not only do we not deduct restocking fees or shipping charges, but we also include a return label with every order that you may use to return any item to us, and we'll even pay for your return shipping!

Here's the Hoover SteamVac V2 Clean Water Solution Tank, Part 12002549

If you'd like us to do a repair photograph series on this repair of the valve and gasket assembly, please just request a repair clarification here on Fixya, and we'll be happy to do so. If you found this helpful, please be sure to rate the review as helpful by clicking on the 4 Thumbs Up Icons in the top right hand corner of the repair.

Thank you so much,

I have a Hoover Steam Vac F7458-900 & can't find out how to hook the hose up to the machine. Ā Can you tell me how?

On the end of the hose there are two tabs. These two tabs line up with the round cover on the nozzle of your unit. Its about 2 inch lid that lifts up. (Nozzle is the clear plastic piece on the foot of the unit where water goes up.)

I read the manual and tried my new Hoover, the brushes spin, but the waters not going to the bottom tank, what does that mean and what can i do?

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
You could have a bad water release valve on your water tank of which holds the water, the trigger assm might not be connected, bent or broken. Check the trouble shooting owners manual --- also there are hoses that could be crimped or bent, or clogged or not connected, but it is my guess it is the water release valve. Try to back track the water from the holding tank and test all the valves on the system and you might find the problem by the process of elimination. Can't get water to spray out of the hand tool nozzle

When you attach the main suction hose to the front of the machine, you also have to connect the soultion hose to a valve located on the side of the machine. When the machine is running, take a small screwdriver and depress the centre of this valve. You should get a spray of water out of the valve which will confirm the valve and pump is working. Now, connect the small solution hose, making sure you push it on all the way. When you pull the trigger on the handle of the hose, you should get spray. If it does not, you may have a plugged nozzle sprayer.

Most likely will have to replace either the nozzle valve or the hose comes complete, so if the nozzle pieces are available, then replace the complete hose asm.
