Unfortunately there is nothing that you can directly do to fix this problem without voiding your warranty,. This means that if you attempt to repair it and fail MS will not fix it for you.. The "Fix" posted by others SOMETIMES works, but NOT ALWAYS.

Pleae be careful with your expesive gear!

You have a hardware failure. Microsoft will repair your unit for you under warranty / recall.

SOURCE: The xbox 360 red light flash

turn it on and wrap it with 2 towels for 20 minutes(the idea is to overheat it), then unrap the towels and let it cool down for 20 minutes. Then, walla it works.

SOURCE: xbox 360 1 red light

The cause of E-74 with one red light Error might be overheating of your console and for avoiding such error in future you need to put your machine at an open space. Ensure that it is placed near the window or you can also make some external arrangement for cooling of console such as cooling the machine through a pedestal fan.
But as your Xbox already have E74 with one red light Problem which can be solved by only repairing it, no other alternative.
Either you can send your Xbox to Microsoft (Please note that microsoft is no longer providing extended warranty for E74 with one red light Error) and wait for 3-4 weeks. If you don't want to wait for a month, you can also fix E74 with one red light problem with the help of this DIY Video, the guide will explain step by step approach to fix the problem. Choice is yours.

When I turned on my system, it had system error contact xbox customer support. There is a red light flashing on the bottom right, around the power button. I don't know what to do. Please help.

Some of us suddenly when we turn on our Xbox 360 console one day we got one red light flashes on the ROL (Ring of Light) around the Xbox 360 power button, and we got an Error message appearing on the TV screen "System error" also might occur with any error code like E66, E67, E68, E71, E74 or E77, all the same.
systemerrore74.jpg
When you get any of these messages appearing on your screen with one red light flashing on the ROL of your Xbox 360 console that's an indicator of a hardware problem with the console connection to one of the parts connected to it as the hard drive or cables.

oneredlight.jpg
So, first disconnect all power and AV cables from the back of your Xbox 360 console and also unplug the power cord from the wall socket, wait for a minute then reconnect them all back and try to turn on your Xbox 360 console once more.

If that doesn't work, it seems then to be a fault with your Xbox 360 hard drive so turn off the console again and remove the hard drive then turn on your Xbox 360 console without the hard drive, supposed then to work fine, it might be an intermittent issue and when you reconnect the hard drive your Xbox 360 will work fine all after, or it will just work fine without the hard drive so it will be then definitely a fault with your Xbox 360 hard drive so call Xbox 360 customer support to exchange the hard drive for you.

The Xbox 360 console might even keep giving you the same error code even after you remove the hard drive so it will then appear to be a fault with your Xbox 360 console not the hard drive & also in a case like this we need to contact Xbox 360 customer support to exchange the console.

When i turn my xbox 360 on it starts running hard then the controller lights on the device start flashing red.

Four lights around the power button flash red on your Xbox 360 console. Four flashing lights indicates that the console does not detect an audio/video (AV) cable.
Note Four flashing red lights will not appear on consoles that have both an AV port and an HDMI port.

I soldered ana chip & tightened gpu chip. after switching on the set green light appeared for 5/6 sec. changing to 2 red lights. 2nd time only red lights came . Now it's not turning on.

1. Let your Xbox 360 console cool. You may have to wait several hours for your Xbox 360 console to cool enough. Don't turn on your Xbox 360 console when the console is hot. 2. Verify that your Xbox 360 console has enough ventilation and that the fans are operating. For more information about ventilation, see the "More Information" section. 3. If the two lights continue to flash red after you try steps 1 and 2, contact Xbox Customer Support. For more information about how to contact Xbox Customer Support, please visit the Xbox Support (http://www.xbox.com/support/) Web site.

Xbox 360 two red lights

The fan sounds like it is malfunctioning. Two red lights mean the 360 is overheating. I suggest you don't turn on the 360 until you get the fan replaced as this may damage your 360 more and lead to more problems with the motherboard. If its under warranty then you should get it fixed for free but if not then you might have to pay.

Xbox 360 re red flashing lights

depends on how many red lights are flashing...

if you have 3 flashing red lights your machine has a hardware failure which means unfortuanatly your beloved is dead. in which case take it back to the shop and demand a new one. this is a very common problem.

if its only one red light the problem is your av/component cables are not connected correctly....good luck
