IThe iPad needs more power than the average USB device. It doesn't run and charge at the same time on a regular USB port. If to have the iPad before the camera was added, you have the original iPad. If you synced the photos from your computer, you have to remove the photos by syncing with iTunes again, but you have to "uncheck" the albums or folders that you want to remove.
1.Connect the iPad to the computer and launch iTunes.
2.Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
3.Click on the Photos Tab on the right.
4.Uncheck all of the albums or folders that you want to remove from the iPad under the Sync Photos from heading.
5.If you want to remove all of the photos - uncheck the Sync Photos From heading
6.Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
