Are you describing the power on and pump is heard but then the water does not get heated? if so, problem may be at the circuit board at back left top of machine. Try tapping the clear plastic cover of the circuit board. if this doesn't correct the heat not turning on, look at the solder points on the underside of the circuit board. some solder points may be cracked in a donut shape around the solder point. Try resoldering any points which look dark or have visible crack.

to get the circuit board out of the left side you need to remove two screws holding the clear plastic cover. the bottom screw is behind the plastic cover on the inside of the left wall. from the front of the machine, under the lid on the left side you'll see two screws going down--remove both so the metal left side wall will loosen. there are four screws facing left holding the plastic cover inside under the portafilter holder. remove the four screws and the plastic cover can easily be pulled away from the wall. now remove the lower screw holding the clear plastic cover on the circuit board. label the wires before you disconnect from the circuit board so you'll be able to reattach them later.

Temperature Gage On The Instrument Panel Stopped Working

Need to know, year, make, model and engine size,
tip

Charging an air conditioner by superheat or subcooling

Charging AC by superheat and subcool
First charging a unit by superheat, this is only for Acs with an orifice or capillary tube.
Optimum superheat is 12° to 15° at the compressor or suction line outside the unit.
Hook up your gages and put a thermometer on suction line (large line), start the AC. Measure the temperature of the suction line and read the pressure on your gages. Theres a temperature scale on your gages for R-22 or R-410A the needle will show you the pressure on the outer scale and if you follow it down to the R-22 or R-410a inner scale that is the saturation temperature for that refrigerant, (you can also use a temperature pressure chart), now read the thermometer, let’s say the suction temperature( the thermometer) is 67° and the saturation temperature (the gages or temp. press. Chart), is 55°, subtract the saturation temperature from the suction temperature, 67°- 55° = 12° superheat.
Charging by Subcooling, this is for Acs with a thermostatic expansion valve, it’s common to see a sight glass on the liquid line (on these units with a sight glass just clear it, when, indoor room is at approximate set point of the thermostat). If there is no sight glass then the Optimum sub cooling is 12° to 15° at the outdoor unit.
Hook up your gages and put a thermometer on liquid line (small line), start the AC. Measure the temperature of the liquid line and read the pressure on your gages. Theres a temperature scale on your gages for R-22 or R-410A the needle will show you the pressure on the outer scale and if you follow it down to the R-22 or R-410a inner scale that is the saturation temperature for that refrigerant,(you can also use a temperature pressure chart), now read the thermometer, let’s say the liquid temperature( the thermometer) is 100° and the saturation temperature (the gages or temp. press. Chart), is 114°, subtract the liquid temperature from the saturation temperature, 114°- 100° = 14° subcool.

This is also the only way to know if your a/c has the proper charge.

Your best bet would be to have the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ! May not be a sensor problem , could be a wiring issue . Most auto part stores will do this for free , and if it is a sensor they can show you where it lives an how to change it !

The temperature gauge in my 2007 Chev Equinox... is up passed the red section... all the way up to the temperature icon. My car is not overheating. What can be done to fix this? How safe is it to drive...

Its probably the gage itself. A quick stop by a Dealership and they can check the instrument cluster gage by gage. For free maybe! If not the gage, could be the engine temperature sensor.
As long as the engine is NOT overheating, you can still drive it.
