How do I set a reminder for a program on sharp aquos lc266 42 television ?

You can't. The television remote is single frequency. Some high end ones will allow a DVD of the same make, but that is already programmed into the Television remote.

This seems to think it can, but it is an advertising lifestyles website for Houston. So much depends on the model of the Sharp.

sounds like you have a cable connection problem make sure your tv is set to dtv signal in the menu screen. when you scan the channels should be displayed as 12.1 or 8.2 not just a single number if the digital channels are programmed correctly then change the cable coming into the tv from antenna making sure that it isnot crossing any power wires good luck and hope that i helped

check ur tv as there will be buttons there where u can set programs and fine adjustments without remote control......if u still have probs ......get yourself a new remote control.......

I called up Sharp, and if you are a part of Sharp AQUOS Advantage Program you get free in home service.

They were very nice about it, and I already have a technician coming to my house on Saturday and I called on Wednesday.

I doubt Sharp's policy alot less now!

you might try unplugging the TV and then plugging in again. It worked for me

I got a a sharp LC-32D43U and for my motorola cable box i use hte code 31 from jerrold, i take it from the manual and i got it tryin every single code unti i get one that works.

Usually the settings can't be turned off and the audio settings are searching for whatever is being outputted from the program itself whether mono or stereo. It is nuisance I know.
