Take a red, white, and yellow AV cable and plug it from the AV out of the cable box to the red, white, and yellow In of the dvd recorder (change cable box to the channel you want to record). Then change your TV to the channel you want to view.

Have fun!

SOURCE: My Panasonic DMR-EH55 recorder produces no sound

Did you get anywhere with this? I have a similar problem with a DVD/PVR from Woxter. I've tried different cables and changed many of the settings without luck. I've seen a couple of posts which suggest changing country and sound settings (to PCM), so I'll check them out before I call in a repairman to check out the circuitry around the sound output.

Have you tried playing the tape in another device? Adjusting the recording volume if that is an option? Look for the user manual pdf online and also try a brand new or different brand tape to ensure that is not the problem.

Samson G-Track recording volume issue

Try using a computer with a dedicated sound card, not an onboard sound chip. A condenser mike can't provide very much power on its own, and requires power from the attached receiver/amplifier.

I record but the sound is very very low.

If you are recording from a line-out coming from a headphone output from the TV try increasing the TV volume. (and check the signal is strong by testing with headphones).

If you need to still increase the recorded volume... open the Volume control mixer; open the properties for Recording; select an Advanced option and then Microphone boost
