Printer will not print 4X6" pictures.

It pulls the print paper in the machine, then stops claiming a paper jam. All I have to do is push O.K. Botton and it kickes the paper out. I received an explaination on how to fix the envelope problem. Now that dose work great.
Any help on the picture problem will be appreciated.

SOURCE: Printer will not print 4X6" pictures.

Loading index cards, post cards, and 4 x 6-inch photo paper Remove the paper output tray and all paper from the paper supply tray. Slide a stack of cards into the paper supply tray until they stop. Make sure the print side is face down. Adjust the paper-width guide against the cards, and then slide the paper-length guide in until it stops. Make sure the cards fit within the tray (do not overload it), and then reinstall the paper output tray. Figure 3: Loading a stack of cards 80455c3.jpg

PULL ALL PAPER OUT OF MACHINE EVEN THE SUPPLY, UNPLUG OR TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE UNIT, PUT A STACK OF PAPER IN THE SUPPLY TRAY & GENTLY PUSH FORWARD NOT FORCING IT UNTIL IT STOPS. TURN POWER BACK ON & TRY AGAIN. YOU MAY HAVE TO REPEAT THIS 2-4 TIMES BUT IT WORKED FOR MY HP DESKJET F4180 ALL IN ONE.

Hp c6180 won't print from 4x6 photo paper tray

If you put regular paper in the tray as it is asking does the printer use the regular paper to print the picture? If so, be sure the 4x6 photo paper tray (with photo paper) is pushed all the way in, and when you select print there should be an option (probably hidden in a submenu) to select the photo tray as the paper source. If you are printing from Adobe Acrobat, I have not found a reliable way to get the c6180 to use the photo paper tray. I hope this helps.

    Note
    • If ink gets on your skin or clothing immediately wash it off with soap or detergent.

    • If the paper is jammed under the print head, unplug the machine from the power source, and then move the print head to take out the paper.

    • If the print head has stopped in the right corner as shown in the illustration, you cannot move the print head. Press Stop/Exit until the print head moves to the middle. Then unplug the machine from the power source, and take out the paper.

Paper jam

Yes, put it in the box and take it back, and don't look back. A paper jam is the least of it's problems. Wait till you keep track of the ink you use: 4 4X6 color pictures, and 85 black printed pages before you have to replace the inks. I know , I have one, 3 printheads replaced, and recently Kodak send a rebuilt printer. Kodak has big problems with this.
