And when people call me now, (after I put my SIM in my Iphone,) they don't get my voicemail even though I recorded it on my IPhone, and they dont' see my number on THEIR phone! It comes up restricted.....any ideas???? I'd be really grateful if you could help me at all............Robbie

How To Save Battery On Your iPhone or iPod Touch

Is your iPhone or iPod Touch's battery level always depleting quickly? Do you not have enough juice to get you through the day? Here are some quick tips to conserve your battery life and help you get through the day while you are Facebooking, sending texts, and calling.

First, lets make sure you can monitor your batter level. This is how you will turn on the percentage of battery display.

1. Go to your home-screen.

2. Open up the Settings App.

3. Tap General then Usage

4. Where it says battery percentage, make sure the switch is in the on position.

Now that you can monitor your battery life, here are a few things you should continually do to save battery.

• Don't keep multiple apps running if you don't have to. iPhones and iPod Touches have multitasking to run multiple apps at once, but this can use a lot of battery. To delete tasks, double tap the home button and then hold down an icon at the bottom of the screen. Once the apps begin to wiggle, tap the X by the app to stop the task (note: this won't delete the app, it will only stop it from running).

• Another battery saving setting is not fetching email quite as often, I mean, do you really need to check your email every 15 minutes or hour? Fetching data uses a lot of battery, to disable or not as frequently fetch for data, go to the Settings app again. Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars then Fetch New Data and set it to Manually so to check email, go to the email app and click the refresh button.

• Your iPhone has an adjustable brightness, and a higher brightness wastes more battery, to change the brightness: go to your Settings app. Go to Brightness and turn your brightness down. You don't necessarily need to turn it all the way down(especially when you are in bright lighting conditions, kind of ironic that you need higher brightnesses in brighter environments), but if you are in a pitch black room, then there is no reason to have the brightness above the minimum level.

• Another good habit is turning off bluetooth and wifi when you are not using them, to do this, go to your Settings app again. Go to Wi-Fi and turn of wifi. To turn of bluetooth, go to General then Bluetooth and turn it off.

• If you don't necessarily use an app a lot or at all, turn off Push Notifications. To do this scroll all the way down on your Settings app, and choose that particular app. This will only be useful on an app that gets information from the internet. In the particular app that you chose, usually there will be a Push Notifications option, and you can disable this, this will help your battery because your iPhone constantly tries to search for data with these on. Also, when installing apps, you can disable this then.

• Another good way to save battery (iPhone only) is to switch from the 3g(fast internet)radio to Edge(slower internet) radio. On the iPhone, you have twice as much battery with Edge radio. To change between the two, go to your Settings app once again. Go to General then Network and where it says Enable 3g switch it to off. You can/should do this when you aren't heavily surfing the internet, checking Facebook, or downloading apps. Don't use this with apps that require heavy internet usage.

• One final tip to conserve battery is changing the amount of time until the iPhone/iPod Touch goes into sleep mode. If you forget to put it in sleep mode, it will stay on and waste battery in your pocket, etc. To change the amount of time to save battery, go to your Settings app again. Go to General then Auto-Lock and change it to something short such as 1 or 2 minutes.

These tips will significantly prolong your battery, use them to your advantage.
My iPhone battery is losing power

Hi there,

You can do a few things to help preserving battery life. You can check by doing the followings:

1. If you are not using WiFi, turn it off
2. If you are not using bluetooth, turn it off.
3. Go to Settings - General - Background App Refresh. Choose the least used App.
4. Choose Settings - Privacy - Location Services. Disable ones you don't really use on a normal basis.

Hope it helps

I have an Iphone 4. Today, by mistake I activated the Voice Over in my phone. Now the phone is not accepting my Password.. I am not able to access my phone. Please help me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Thank...

Just activating the voice over feature shouldn't change your iphone's password. You may not know how to use the iphone now that it is in voice over mode. What you need to do is go to the unlock screen use the same password that you used to have. The trick is to click on eacg number, then double tap it again once, repeat that step each time for the four numbers and you should have access to the phone. Once that is done you need to turn off voiceOver in the settings app in general, then accessibility, then change voiceover to off, your iphone should then go back to normal.

If for some reason your iphone did actually break by turning on the voiceover feature randomly, you should try to restore your phone by plugging it in to itunes(if you don't know how use google). If you need any further help you should be able to go to the genius bar at any apple store, and they would be happy to help you fix your iphone for free.

I am unable to zoom web pages in order to read them on my iPhone 4. I do know how to pinch and stretch. Is there a setting I may have changed accidentally?

It's possible your zoom is off and it can be hard to find this setting. This is the 3-finger zoom that should work anywhere. Go to settings>general>accessibility>zoom (should be on)
If it really is the pinch/normal webpage zoom, it may help to know that some web pages have disabled it for consistent behavior across platforms. You may want to be sure that it's not just certain sites.
I hope this helps, please vote this answer up if so.
Thanks in advance.

Iphone, vociemail, restricted #, and monitor lighting help

for your brightness problem, go to your home screen and touch settings, then brightness, and make sure your auto-brightness is on, that will allow the Iphone to adjust the brightness up and down as the day goes on and you need more or less light.

as for the restricted problem, what you need to do is call AT&T. More than likely there is a problem with your account. Things like this most technicians at AT&T can say..."Let me look, oh yeah...don't know why that was clicked, there your fixed"

Hope this helps :)
